Unfortunately just a poor experience. I could only sit through ten minutes before too many issues had piled up and I decided to get a refund. In my short experience, here are the issues I noticed: - No options settings on title screen start up. Being able to configure things like graphics and audio settings before starting a game is important to a lot of people. - No options for camera controls. Once again, being able to configure camera sensitivity and inversions is standard. None of these options are present in this game at all. - Awkward, and sometimes outright broken dialogue system. The way to talk with someone to walk within a certain proximity to them; this will immediately put the dialogue box on the screen. It is hard to tell how close you must be for this to happen, so sometimes if you accidentally press the button to continue the dialogue when text comes up that you weren't expecting, you will just miss whatever the dialogue box had to say. In my ten minutes this happened...

Kind Camomille is a beautiful adventure game centered on one idea: the kindness, and helping others. The visual identity is stunning, the music is great, the story is touching. That’s a game that will be worth your time and money, whether you’re a casual or mid-core gamer! I spent a sh… load of time on the demo, which was very promising, and I was stunned by the fact it was the work of a solo dev, and I’m not disappointed by this final version. A pure indie gem!
Way too many bugs. Should've been Early access cause it's clearly not a finished game yet.
I initially bought this game because I'm a fan of relaxing artsy games. Sadly, this wasn't my cup of tea. I did try to like it, but it just feels too slow and quite janky for me (especially the fact the character doesn't run sometimes when you're holding shift). Kinda regret not just trying the demo beforehand tbh. Also, I managed to glitch the achievements out somehow. It says I only unlocked 1 out of whatever, when I had like 3 or 4. Pressing R in-game somehow triggered a re-unlocking of the running achievement. I accidentally held the button down at one point and unlocked it like 70 times or something, idk. I'm being seriously btw, idk wtf happened there. But yeah, if you like this, more power to you.
My play of the game here: https://youtu.be/52xCVMQqQKg I can't recommend this game it's too glitchy and honestly had me question my ability to progress from things just not working in the game. I could not talk to the fortune teller, I found the brothers they would not allow me to accept their quest/complete it, achievements would not pop even though the thing for them had been fulfilled, I honestly could not find the glider for the life of me/owl baby, there's a book that I'm unable to read at the top with the brother in question. The game doesn't really excel in anything each character has two lines of dialogue so I can't really get immersed in the world, the game is basically just continuous gopher quests. There's not much gameplay to be had and there's no real story either. I think the one positive was cosmetically changing my mouse to be honest. Definitely not worth the $6.99 even on sale in my opinion. Hopefully others had a better less glitchy experience.
This is charming, relaxing game. It is based on kindness. The graphics are beautiful and the music score perfect for the game's theme. This is truly a delightful games for the whole family. Camomille is a mouse on her way to Grandma's birthday celebration on an island. During the boat trip Camomille's basket of goodies tip over into the water. Help her replace them with items by meeting and helping the island's inhabitants. Complete simple tasks the islanders request. Collect all the butterflies and catch all the fish to get the achievements. Pet the piglet, kitten, fox and squirrel that will follow you afterwards where ever you go on the island. Acquire a glider through an act of kindness and soar to the other smaller islands to discover what they have to help you on your journey. In the end celebrate with Grandma and the friends Camomille make through acts of kindness.
Similar game to A short hide, if you liked that one you will enjoy this one as well. Right now it has some bugs that may prevent enjoying the full experience but the developer is fixing them as I write the review, I know he'll fix them all, so I do recommend buying the game now since it's on sale as well.
The game is... sorta broken? So I played for a good hour, gotta couple quests done, and along the way I was able to hop up a mountain and go all the way to grandma's house without having to fix the loft at the beginning of the game. When I got to the house I spoke to grandma and I wasn't able to say no to finishing the game and celebrating her birthday- which sucked because doing so restarts the entire game and resets your save. Also when the credits finished it just kept scrolling over and over again. I couldn't go to the menu, skip, or even exit the game. Aside that, the game is gorgeous and music is lovely. I just think it wasn't ready for a full release yet :(
very sweet and fun
