Wasnt gonna review the game, expecially not this early. (been playing only 10 minutes) but i noticed in settings that you can disable (or enable) "show cat death" which is awesome. because i personally, get emotional easily if i see cat or dog die or hurt even in a videogame. so im glad there is this setting. Also, the game seems very cute and beautiful!

About This Game

Stray is one of the most unique and beautiful games I’ve played in a while. Its world is compact but incredibly detailed, every alley, rooftop, and neon-lit corridor feels handcrafted. Exploring as a cat isn’t just a clever concept, it’s genuinely immersive and adds a fresh perspective to how you interact with the environment. The story is surprisingly emotional. What starts as a simple quest to reunite with your group slowly unfolds into something deeper — touching on themes of isolation, hope, and connection in a world long abandoned by humans. The relationship between the cat and B-12 is subtle but really well done. What stood out to me most was the environmental storytelling. Stray doesn’t rely heavily on dialogue instead, it lets the setting do a lot of the narrative lifting. From old robots expressing human emotions to decaying cities hiding forgotten memories, it makes you curious to keep exploring, even in quieter moments. The soundtrack is beautiful and just strai...
Stray is a wonderfully relaxing game that made me feel incredibly comfortable while playing. You control a small, curious cat exploring a beautifully detailed cyberpunk city filled with secrets, puzzles, and friendly robots. The movement feels smooth and natural, and the world is so immersive that it’s easy to just slow down and enjoy every little detail. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3546256493 What I love most is how stress-free the gameplay is. While there are a few challenges, they never feel overwhelming, making it perfect for anyone to enjoy whether you’re an experienced gamer or just starting out. The gentle pacing, atmospheric music, and cozy visuals create a satisfying experience from start to finish. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3543412686 Stray isn’t just a game; it’s a peaceful adventure that lets you relax and explore at your own pace. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a calm, heartwarming journey. https...
A beautiful looking adventure about a cat who helps a bunch of cute robots escape a dystopian city hundreds of years after the extinction of humanity. It's just a really nice, relaxing and well made game and in the current "AAA" hellscape we are living in, sometimes that's all you need.
The player character is a cat. That's the entire appeal. The actual gameplay is shallow and derivative. Nothing you haven't seen before.
Game was emotional and with a very good story line. It had a couple of challenging achievements which gave the game some spice. Also very dynamic atmosphere and a nice soundtrack to go along with the story. Very vivid perception of the cat's pov of the world. Would highly recommend this one for a nice fun play.
Stray is a cat walking simulator with a recycled robot city story line and very tame puzzle interactions. You play a cat adventuring into the unknown after falling down into a water treatment system. You can meow to your heart's content, but the interactions in Stray are unfortunately canned. The game play features a fair amount of low difficulty "parkour" elements. The cat can jump, but only when it decides it makes sense. You can not jump to crash your whiskers in this game. You can sprint to avoid parasites, but it's not very reliable and you often get hit out of miss-reading jump visual indicators or simply out of bad luck. It can get seriously infuriating. The controls responsiveness in Stray is bad, controller or mouse and keyboard makes no difference. The amount of skills involved in playing through the levels is quite low. The other noticeable facet in Stray is the adventuring scenes. The characters are not very memorable and although the story feels somewhat recycled, the an...
Genuinely the most incredible experience I've ever had playing a game. The graphics are incredible (and my computer, despite not being super powerful, was able to run this perfectly smoothly), the plot is engaging, the world-building is fantastic, the characters are intriguing (and some are quite lovely), and honestly I could go on forever. The only complaint I have about this game is that it isn't longer. I truly cannot put into words how much I love this game.
Honestly... It was alright, but not much more than that for me, the story just didn't really click for me. The exploration portions I found to be quite nice, and the intro certainly does a good job at pulling you in if you're into discovering things for yourself, but the game's substance (story, dialogue, characters) just wasn't doing it for me. The quests and gameplay portions were easy enough to complete, and served as a nice break between story beats and exploration, which is a plus in this sort of game for me. At some point though I just didn't really feel like talking to any of the robots anymore, most of them had nothing particularly interesting to say, which is kind of unfortunate given that the story and dialogue is more or less the entire game. (there is a nice amount of exploration, too, but I never felt like exploring gave me anything. Almost always it was a case of "oh, that secret thing I found earlier was actually part of the main story, and I'd have needed to find it n...
