Constant problems with getting friends to join games, lots of lag and connectivity issues. If someone does drop from a game, the game won't let them come back, won't let you end your turn, you have to abandon the quest entirely and start over again, after another 15-20 minutes of trying to get everyone to re-connect. On top of this, I thought maybe the developers had hired Lenval Brown (Disco Elysium) to do the voice narration for the events, but then I come to find out that no, he did not get hired, you guys had an AI steal his voice and read what I can only assume is AI-written event dialogue because it makes absolutely no sense at all. I realize there is a disclaimer about AI now, not sure if it was there when I bought the game, it's whatever. Great idea behind the simultaneous turn-taking for a tactical RPG, wish you hadn't integrated any Gen AI into this and I wish the net coding was more polished. I won't be recommending this to anyone else.

About This Game
TURN-BASED STRATEGY MEETS ACTION RPG IN THIS DUNGEON CRAWLING LOOTER
Stolen Realm is a simultaneous turn-based tactical dungeon crawling looter with action RPG elements where you control up to 6 heroes, solo or through online co-op, venturing forth in adventures set in a high-fantasy, low-poly world.
Stolen Realm features an innovative turn-based combat system where simultaneous turns allow every team to take their actions at once, creating quick combat encounters that blend the tactical depth of titles like Divinity: Original Sin with the thrill of a fast-paced action RPG. Every battle scales based on the number of players involved, so you can easily jump in and out of the game even in the same playthrough!
With a highly customisable class system, Stolen Realm allows you to create traditional RPG classes or break the mold to forge a unique champion of your own as you draw from a pool of hundreds of possible skills. Make a spell-slinging assassin, a priest born of frost, or a shadow-infused knight. Further customize your build by earning and reforging loot that truly changes the way you play: wield Abbadon the Soul Crusher, a mythic mace that raises slain enemies as skeletal warriors to fight for you, or unsheath the Bloodletter, a cursed sword that grants additional power at the cost of your lifeblood. D&D-like events where attribute-based rolls will have permanent effects on your character add yet another layer to building a character that is truly your own. Anything is possible in this title that keeps compelling choices at the forefront of your experience.
Keeping the core appeal of RPGs at its forefront, Stolen Realm ensures you spend all your time, fighting, building your characters and making compelling choices that determine your immediate path or effect your character, rather than getting bogged down in side quests and other RPG-bloat. After each battle, pick your path between story events, resource gathering, shops and treasure rooms, until you get to the final boss of each procedurally generated adventure. If you’re up to a challenge, crank the difficulty up with 6 different difficulty levels – or pick Hardcore Mode with permadeath, where every battle can be the last!
Also features Roguelike Mode, a fast paced version of the game where you can mix and match builds that are simply not possible in the traditional campaign!
Carve a place in history with your sword and magic. Rise to honor and glory in the battlefield. Recover the Stolen Realm.

This game fails to disclose its use of AI narration and AI generated loading screen art. Whether there's more (like icons, writing, etc.) I can't say for sure, but the narration and art feel pretty clear cut after 90 minutes in game. I'm requesting a refund, so we'll see if that goes through, but I want the developers to know, I am *only* ditching your game because I don't want to support your usage of AI. What's worse, you're using it to fill out things that didn't need to exist (Lots of games lack voice acting, lots of games don't have loading screens, etc.) !
I like how good this game could have been. It's got a fair amount of bugs, including issues getting trapped in the credits menu and not being able to back out of some sections of the main menu. The roguelike gameplay mode is extremely unbalanced; the supposed scaling to match the party member count is basically non-existent in boss fights and such. I'm hoping it's updated more but, apparently they're moving on to other projects and while they can say they won't abandon the game, it's rare that any dev keeps that promise once they're done making their launch-money. I've seen some reviews make digs at the voice acting being GenAI. If it is, okay, if it's not, okay. The only people who care are the ones leaving reviews. It doesn't sound bad either way.
Any game using AI over humans gets a thumbs down from me. I was willing to overlook Synty assets, but AI? Get fucked devs.
Stolen Realm has some charm and enough content to fill the hours, but it’s dragged down by terrible balance, poor performance, and repetitive combat. I enjoyed the open, classless progression and endless build variety, which is increased further by adding the expansion, but the problems quickly overshadowed those positives as the game progressed. The worst offender is the “loot hell.” I don’t know why every game insists on drowning you in mostly worthless loot and endless tiny stat comparisons—I was tired of it back in 1997 with the first Diablo, and I’m utterly sick of it now. The game showers you with garbage items, forcing endless stat comparisons and tedious click-by-click selling. Since power is gear-dependent, build viability is often dictated by a few random, spectacularly powerful drops rather than your choices. Performance is bafflingly bad considering the low poly count. Even on my 4080GTX, particle effects can grind the game down to single-...
Feels rather limited and shallow, not much in the way of character or part customization, and the generic 'stylized low poly' style feels generic and lazy. It's well reviewed but this is a pass for me
This game is great fun. Played with 3-4 of my other friends in online co-op and it's been great.
lowkey ts is so buns and the art is ai generated too and so is the narration like boi u couldn't put on a fake british accent and say some corny runescape voiceline u had to use a prompt to say like 30 different lines???? also the roguelike mode is buns too and obviously the dev has never seen a good roguelike get this off the steam page and go back to itch.io where it belongs.
Stolen Realm is one of those rare chill, but satisfying games you can play with up to 6 friends. If you enjoy Baldur's Gate style gameplay, but don't want to commit to that sort of session we find this to be pretty much perfect.
I don’t remember this game at all but I apparently played it for 5 hours and wishlisted the next one which is yet to be released. So I must have liked it. 100% liked game good job
