EA has ruined the whole NFS franchise as back in the days the original hot pursuit it was a good casual driving game, but now I can't even get to play this shit as I can't configure my controller properly, all menus are sticking, keyboard works lousy and every time I start the game I have to go through all the silly stuff (videos, stupid menus) so getting to the game takes ages and then you get to know your controller is not properly set up. Hell, I am going back to the original version I got on CD instead of this rip off mockery. And no more EA crap for me, even if it's 99% sale item. Thanks EA ruining everything! The whole EA app is just another annoyance on top of this mess!

User Reviews
Hot Pursuit is the only game that truly makes you feel like a badass cop chasing down criminals. Please make more games where we can choose to play as the police — it’s insanely fun and makes the experience way more intense!
It doesn't support steering wheels. At least not the Logitech G29 like it claims it does support.
I'm actually quite annoyed. Remastered... but can't use a steering wheel, pedals and shifter to play a car racing game? Don't even get me started on linking my EA account and the headache that caused. I loved this game. Get with the times EA.
One of the best NFS experiences you can have. Ultra smooth driving even on keyboard, easy to get into with no DLC, upgrades or story nonsense to worry about, just avoiding crashes, escaping cops / busting racers and unlocking cars as you play the game. Graphics are as good as they need to be nowadays with an awesome looking world to zone out in and the car selection is diverse in every tier except the highest, with interesting descriptions for each one. Multiplayer also seems like it will be alive for the foreseeable future. Definitely worth it if you're interested in games like this and haven't tried this entry yet.
The game is fun if you don't care about quick progression. This is an old game and it's design shows, players are expected to learn the tracks and how the AI drivers behave. But even so, there are random npc vehicles that appear just to screw you over and enemy spike traps that cover almost half of the road. This is extremely stress-inducing. Imagine having to race over 10 miles and fight your way to 1st position only to lose it because the Ai cop just targets you. At this point why even bother with EMP or spike strip, might as well just shoot the other guy with an ATGM.
Pure chaos, Pure chasing racers as police and the opposite at the same time, Got it at fair price on sale and I think its a fair deal. Talking about the game, Im just hooked for hours. At first it will be little boring and hectic as everything is either time trial or interceptors or quick call as police. But the chaos starts increasing as new weapon unlocks for you. If you just want a time pass game with pure chaos. GO FOR IT (only if u get it on a deal otherwise I wont spend much on this) It would have been better if there was a story too
Maybe I'm writing this review too soon, but I'm just not getting into the game much. The EA launcher alone is a disaster, but the game feels a bit soulless, and the handling of the cars is pretty weird
This game is broken. It simply will not launch. I want to play so BADLY.
When I was a kid, I had Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 on my Playstation 2 and loved every minute of it. I was never interested in the subsequent NFS games like Underground, etc. So 20 years later, I got a Steam Deck and wanted to try this game, hoping it would be similar to Hot Pursuit 2 from the good old days. But it wasn't. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered is a soulless experience. Absolute trash. I returned it after playing it for an hour.
