Stranded: Alien Dawn

After a year with no updates, it was picked up by Paradox apparently which turned into a nothing sandwich. The games really fun in it's current state, but I'd really hoped they would keep cookin with it. Its like a solid 7/10

Elevator Pitch: 3D Rimworld, but with less overall development time, so it's both less crazy and more approachable. Longer version, you can definitely see the same ancestry/inspiration as Rimworld. But whereas Rimworld's lore makes it so everything and everyone you see is in some form derived from Humanity and Earth, S:AD's planet is actually Alien. That means you need to actually Observe flora and fauna to know what to do with them, and the attack waves are usually hostile insects of various size. There is no human attackers, and you certainly won't be gaslighting them in a prison to join your colony. Your humans are going to be the ones you start your scenario with, with maybe 1 or 2 random-event granted random-picks. As such, all the humans in this game are actually named and have distinct likes and dislikes. If you like Jack the military commander, you can bring him with you on future runs. Bought this game at 9pm, decided to try it for a little bit, looked up, and it was 7am 10/10

Its very addictive, please make more DLC!

It's either a complete sweatfest or too easy and making you fall asleep. There's no inbetween.

I always wanted a game with better graphics than Rimworld, but based on the same/similar concept and well: here it is! Yes, it is not that complex as Rimworld, but it definately isnt arcade style either, and you have a lot of freedom for building your house, fields, your defense, etc. It is a very solid and good game, i hope for part 2!

Great little game with a mixture of base building, resource management, research, and base defence. I keep coming back to it just as much as Rimworld to scratch that colony itch.

I've been been playing this game on and off for two, maybe three years now (I can't recall if I bought the "work in progress" version before full launch). This is a great survival sim and a lot of fun with some decent replay value. Definitely worth it now that's it's now "brand new car" pricing lol. The various scenarios they've added and the different habitat/biomes, along with the personalities, make it fun to play. From a "room to improve" angle - here's my two cents/feedback ---- The speed of walking is stupidly slow. Like even without carrying supplies or goods back to camp, they walk slow ASF. Okay - I get it if they're loaded down with stuff, but can't we program them to walk faster when not carrying pounds of food or stone or wood. --- On a related note, it's stupid the people can't carry food/drink with them so that if they go out to work for the day, they don't have to come back to eat. --- Okay - forget if it's a mod or the game - but now I have the ability to build tele...
