It's fine. For a solo dev effort, it looks okay, plays okay for the most part, and the music is decent. The plot didn't add much to the game for me, for what I could understand of it, at any rate. It's unnecessary, but the cutscenes are brief. The main issue i have is that the game is preeeeeetty easy on Normal. I passed most of the levels without breaking a sweat, the only real exceptions being the level that gets turned sideways, and the final level, which has you alternating directions and places the checkpoints much further apart than they seem to be in previous levels. Also, all of the obstacles you encounter correspond with the arrows on your d-pad, but I used the wrong move several times successfully, particularly with the yellow and red obstacles. There isn't any downside to doing this, as the majority of the obstacles are spread far enough apart to not create many issues with timing. Overall, I don't regret the time I spent playing Never Yield, but it's kinda forgettable....

I've been curious about this game for a while and I'm glad I finally got my hands on it. It's dripping with style and feels so slick. It's pretty easy to play and I appreciate the UX and clean experience. I have to tear myself from this brief session to get some work done but I'm playing the OST on Spotify while I do it. I'll definitely be back for more.
