Explore Rainy City, meet its residents and save your sister!

Get ready to make deliveries for Betty's Pizza in this story-based game set in a cyberpunk future where the pandemic never went away.

You're a worker with a mission- your sister Naomi is getting sick, and you need to raise enough money to get her into treatment before she gets any worse.

Navigate the streets of Rainy City while delivering to people scattered around town. You'll meet customers from all walks of life- from friendly neighbors to illicit party animals and miscreants.

Listen to how their lives have changed and how they're dealing with the pandemic- and reflect on your own history too.

Not everything in Rainy City is bleak- there's hope and optimism out there if you're looking for it.

Can you make enough deliveries in time to save your sister??

You drive around in a futuristic hover car delivering pizza to various locations, read dialogue, and it's constantly raining. There's no way to sugar coat it, this is a poor mans version of Cloudpunk. These walking simulator style of games heavily rely on interesting dialogue and stories to deliver their value, but sadly, this doesn't cut it. The people have next to nothing to say, as the talking is comprised of casual conversation that has zero impact on anything you're doing. The gameplay basically boils down to picking up a delivery at point A, dropping it off to point B, read some dialogue, rinse and repeat until the game ends. That's it. It's a cool little game to mess around, but you'll likely play it once, and move on from it. As of this review, this game has a base price of 7.99 USD. I completed this game, and in my opinion, that's WAY too steep for what this is. By comparison, Cloupunk is 19.99, which is a bit over double this game's price (totally worth it by the way) but whe...

The graphics are great. The controls are great. But..I'll just be completely honest here; I don't find the characters or story to be interesting at all. The characters discuss the minor inconveniences people have had during the pandemic; People having to work from home, not being able to live their normal lives etc. It feels very weird and misplaced in an otherwise nice cyberpunk setting. If you really just want to relax and not have your brain challenged in any way, you might still appreciate listening to pixel-people whine about lack of toilet paper or having to share their working space with the kids. TLDR; It is Cloudpunk for kids.

Alright. Rainy City: Pandemic is done and dusted. This was an enjoyable game in the vein of Cloudpunk, but much more focused on a singular topic and not as expansive. I really enjoyed this game. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3324193834 You play as Sam, whose sister, Naomi, has gotten sick and needs a treatment which will no longer be effective after about 15 days. So, you, in your role as a pizza delivery guy, need to come up with $1500 quick so she can get the treatment she needs. Your friend Betty runs the local corner store/pizza shop, and you will both chat her up about a variety of things and also get to know the people (and other things) who have ordered deliveries from Betty. This is all accomplished via hovercar. While the city is not nearly as fully developed as Nivalis, what is there is really cool and it's a fun place to fly around in. This game was made as a response to and documentation of the lock downs and uncertainties we all faced du...

Very chill game. Nice to kick back and enjoy during the current Pandemic. Loved the music in it. Lucy was by far my favorite character.

A super cute and relaxing game. The character backstories combined with the art style and music created a really nice atmosphere.

Nice simple story driven game. Fun and contemplative, really wanted to get to know more about the characters. One wish - could use gamepad support, that would make it a more relaxed experience, nearly didn't make it on easy! oh and more cars, but maybe that was because I was playing on easy. Update: didn't know that you can just map a gamepad to keyboard buttons! played again once I found that out and it was really much better and relaxing, but even better was the update! Lots of new dialog and story that really made it more fun! Also on my second play found a protip: you can pass on taking some deliveries to get to the characters you want to interact with. anyway, even more thumbs uppy than before.

It looks nice but its a bit static. Not very interactive or many options nothing to develop not even a map.

"Rainy City: Pandemic" is a nice relaxingly-paced game with a relevant theme that it addresses respectfully. It brings to mind a lot of other games and movies in terms of style and execution: "Blade Runner" is an obvious inspiration, but there also seems to have been some inspiration taken from "Hotline: Miami" and even the original "Shenmue" in terms of the job simulator aspects. My experience of the game was pretty zen and I found my time with it to be relaxing. The floaty physics of the hover-car played into that vibe. And the mix of 3D and chunky retro graphics was a lot of fun. And the scripted conversations with "Betty" and the customers were really charming, and conveyed a lot of personality and even real sadness from time to time. Recommended!
