About This Game

Honor and Duty: D-Day is an online PVP shooter set during the D-Day landing in World War II. Players compete in Team Death Match, Domination, and Free For All matches or in a separate Battle Royale mode. Online games feature 16 v 16 matches (32 player FFA/BR) in a fast paced environment Players can drive tanks and jeeps across large maps in search of the enemy. Players rank up to unlock access to all 4 player classes which each have different abilities.

Players can choose their class, character, and weapons from 4 classes, 4 player characters, and a number of weapons including machine guns, rifles, shotguns, a rocket launcher, and a flame thrower.

Honor and Duty: D-Day originated as a VR game on the consoles and has now made the move to PC VR and features cross play with console players. The game started out with a low poly art style but was recently remastered for it's release on the PC with all new textures. While the game is still cartoony in nature, it now has a more realistic style than the traditional single color style seen in many games.

The game went through numerous open betas on the console side before releasing to great player feedback and has since received 28 updates adding numerous features and fixes. There are still many things coming to Honor and Duty: D-Day in 2020 including planes, mortars, new maps, and new game modes.

Controls are atrocious for 2018 let alone 2020, thursday evening during a pandemic and one person's on. Seems like the devs are prone to releasing nothing but shit so I have little hope any successor will improve on these things. Might not refund if it actually had a player base but unless I see some crazy stats its staying in my no go list.

Used to play this game all the time on psvr, now i can again on PC ...I love it! First of all if you are expecting the reload mechanics of shooters such as pavlov, contractors etc, its not that type of game, so will take a little time to adjust...however once you get used to the controls, its really good fast paced fun...dont let the simplistic graphics put you off, its a solid game! Tip: when i first booted it up, my guns were really tiny, you can adjust the weapon size in the menu

This is super janky and despite all the big claims of crossplay, I haven't actually played against anyone, just bots.

I had a few issues getting the game to start, after selecting multiplayer and Public match the screen would go black, but exiting Steam VR fixed the issue. I then had issues where I'd get a message that the VR Headset needed to be re-calibrated (holding B on the left-hand index controller fixed that issue). The lead dev was able to assist me with my issues on the Discord Server (how many other games do the devs jump in to help you out or offer to do a special build to troubleshoot your issues) so I was able to get in and actually play. My time is limited with two little ones so I don't have the ability to game as much as I used to. I enjoyed what I was able to play even though I was pretty terrible at it. I think I got one kill and died nearly two dozen times. I didn't notice movement issues and it was pretty intuitive to get around. I'm fairly new to VR (just got my headset a couple of weeks ago and have really only been able to play for a couple of hours total). While I would...

Don't bother. Pavlov has mods that use Poly graphics that play way better. Max players online playing this game is 5 (all-time). Too much feels broken to recommend it.
