This is amazingly snarky, meta, and clever. An RPG full of choices and dialogue. It reminds me of The Stanley Parable with more RPG elements. Find out what the "product" is. Electrocute a kitten. Shoot someone in the face. Understand the fact that their are no true realities. They are all fake. Seriously, this game is great! https://youtu.be/pwyKMSVbi48

Out of Shapes is a wonderfully witty and quirky game with an experience similar to Stanley Parable. In this game, you play as a Cylinder that goes about various tasks throughout the game. The game allows you to choose a way to explore through it in order to reach the end. Where I began the game, I did not expect where I ended up all for the glory of "The Product". It is a simple puzzle game that has a strong narrative drive. The comedic timing and the sheer hilarity add a lot of charm to the game that invites you to keep playing. "The Product" drives drives the story as a mysterious force that influences the story. While I stated above that my path differed there are others that I could have chosen and given me access to characters that I did not encounter directly on the first play through. With different starts and different endings, the replay-ability of this game means that you'll be able to go through it a few times to see how situations could have been handled differently. The ...

My Experience When I first started the game, I was pleasantly surprised. It seemed to be a stable and cleverly-written RPG, with a mixture of absurdist humor and late stage capitalism that worked well for the experience. Outside of the dialogue, I was also amused by some of the actions I took in-game, from taking a company loyalty exam to brokering cat trades. I also found the process of discovering exactly what the "product" is to be an intriguing ride. However, there were a few gripes I had with the experience. On two occasions, I was unable to proceed because I refrained from picking a specific dialogue choice I wasn't interested in. The main questline just paused until I selected the option that the developer had intended. This certainly conflicts with the idea of a game with "multiple endings and choices with consequences." Additionally, there is an idea that is mentioned multiple times in the game, that DLCs and microtransactions have become necessary due to the unfl...

This game has the vibe of "What if 1984 had a bunch of robots in it...and also (an optional) happy ending?" The game gives you: - Cats! - Green buggy creature-features - Puns and jokes so awfully good you hate yourself for laughing - Robots with more fleshed-out personalities than your average coworker - Philosophy The game doesn't give you: - Crippling depression about the inescapability of the capitalist system - Striking fear of the grim place that is your future - Freecam during conversations (this is the only feature of the 3 I'm mentioning I'd love to see) If you have a free evening and your life is crumbling around you, you won't go wrong with this one. Good job, devs!

At first I thought this was a classic case of 'baby's first game' syndrome. Clunky movement, basic visuals. Then the signature Kris Takahashi writing kicked in and I started laughing every two minutes. There is so much excellent dialogue and neatly observed satire in here that you forget the cheap-looking parts entirely. If you don't mind a largely text-based game, then the quality of the writing makes this a decent way to spend some time. Some of the music is really very good too, which helps. For a few quid, I don't feel short-changed at all.

Absolutely delightful game. Despite the oppressive work environment setting the wonderful writing planted a grin on my face countless times, it's so witty and clever. Now I want to know the writers AO3 handle to read more of their work ... you know, the best kind. --Internet Superfan

I realy like the game so far, but I would like to see an option, where you can adjust the size of the dialog boxes, it is too small for me and so i have trouble reading it. And since this is 99% of the game, it makes it hader to play, because I have to get up close to the screen. But other then that, the game is great, wonderful sence of humor and interesting ideas. Love to continue
