About This Game

Ravenbound is a fast-paced action game that combines the challenge of a roguelite with the choices of the open world. Master your combat skills, build your deck and beat the Betrayer in the mystic world of Ávalt.

Grow stronger with every death

You are a vessel in the service of the Raven who you help to restore its power in an effort to free the imprisoned gods of Ávalt. While each vessel is lost forever once they fall in battle, the strength they bring to the Raven is not. This allows you to come back stronger each time as you progress through this action roguelite.

Explore a fantasy world inspired by Scandinavian Folklore

Journey through the breathtaking island of Ávalt on foot or soar through the skies in Raven form. As you traverse this mysterious, Scandinavian-folklore inspired world, you will confront legendary creatures such as the towering Trolls, ruthless Hulders, and menacing undead Draugr.

Build your deck to beat the Betrayer

Progression comes in the form of cards and unlocks that you can find on your journey through Ávalt. In each lifetime new cards are unlocked, some by chance and some by player choice. As you grow stronger, so do the rewards. But be careful, each reward also increases the Betrayer's hatred which empowers her minions as it grows.

Learn to master the varied and fast paced combat

Learn to master the fast paced and fluid combat of Ravenbound to bring down the increasingly challenging and hostile creatures of Ávalt. By unlocking more cards you will expand your options as new armor, weapons and magical relics become available to you, granting you new ways to defeat the Raven's enemies with every lifetime.

Initially hesitant to get the game. waited for a sale and I must say its a pretty fun game. It does have lots of flaws and its a little jank to play but the base combat is pretty fun, parries feel good for the most part. I wish the grappling hook was designed a bit better, feels a bit of an after thought. I also wish the map felt more dynamic, i have noticed any significant difference on a fresh run aside from the side quest location destination changing. Fun but would wait for a sale. cheers

The game has a lot of potentiel, but as of 21/06/2025 it is garbage, and i do not recommend buying for the asking price or sales price. So what is wrong with the game? * Gameplay 1. Attacks. 2. Dodge. 3. Sprint. 4. Sound/Music. 5. Switch enemy. So when one decides to "toggle" sprint (Since for some reason one can't get the choice to hold) they will of course be speeding up, but for some reason when you jump and land your hero stops sprinting, which is annoying, on top of that when one moves the mouse around it almost feels like the game has motion smoothing or mouse smoothing. When one attacks and enemy there isn't any grand feeling of getting hits in or sounds, combo that with the lag of a story (Since the story is text based and not voice over) it just makes for a horrible experience. The biggest issue for me is the fact that the enemy lock on system won't let me switch to another target if i move my mouse to the next one, instead i constantly have to press to s...
