About This Game

When the world's most famous actor, Tim Hanks, contracts Covid-19, the U.S. government chooses to use its experimental new program to save him. A swallow-able pill with a cute, little, micro-soldier inside. Equipped with an anti-body launcher, the micro-soldier must travel to the source of the infection and shoot it to hell. The government only manufactured one packet of these pills, and after every soldier has failed to kill the virus, it's down to the last pill in the packet to save the actor and the future of the Hollywood film industry.

Call of Corona: Micro Warfare is a satirical action/comedy game like none other. Forget what you know about gaming and the human anatomy cause we're breaking the rules on both.

It is a single-player campaign game of 30 minutes.

The game was entirely created while locked up during the great quarantine of 2020. The goal of the game is to use comedy to lift the spirits of people as the world suffers through the Covid-19 pandemic together. All proceeds from the game will go to the World Health Organisation to help fight Covid-19.

All references to pop culture are made satirically and are completely fictional.

I had discovered this game through undorthodox channels - it was posted to a torrent tracker and from the title I thought it was a joke by the uploader, so came to steam to see if it was for sale. I'd purchased it not expecting anything close to the standard of what I just enjoyed. In short you play through a story that reminded me of 'Ozzy & Drix'; playing as a dormant Antibody Agent who's reawakened inside NotTomHanks' gut after being swallowed, in a last ditch effort to fight the 'baddies' and prevent another celebrity death. The game doesn't provide a compass, HUD navigation way-points, nor provide a torch any more illuminating than a damp paper match. I was disorientated across all 3 axis at times, felt lost and occasionally saw no obvious route of progression. The lack of security or comfort your dollar store flashlight, handwritten map created as you venture through the alien levels was reminiscent of the 'Amnesia' series and with this brought genuine moments of fright follow...

-Pros Decent Graphics and 144hz Good cause Funny One part of the game is really nice designed Story is well done integrated into gameplay Live Action Videos (trashy but it fits perfect to the game) -Cons Bad Options (ultra/144hz are set even though the settings saying 60hz/high after pressing close) Sound is bad mixed (Videos are really quiet compared to SoundFX)

Fun game with a positive vibe. Definitely worth the small price...it goes to a good cause. This game is worth an hour of your time. Challenging quest with a splash of good humor. The developer did a great job integrating game play and filmed videos. Waiting for more games from Puggy Studios!

tl;dr: Call of Corona: Micro Warfare is a MUST buy if you are human CoC: MW will go down as one of the highlights of the Coronavirus pandemic in 2020. It evokes something which you've likely not experienced in a long time: pure bliss. From the top-tier graphics (wait until you crank the settings up to "Goddamn Beautiful"!) to the revolutionary platform mechanics - you will be stuck wanting more long after the game is complete. CoC: MW will likely go down as one of the most influential games of its' time. It will be studied by game devs for years to come as the next evolution in single player experiences. Completely free from any P2W or MTX mechanics, you're able to get a glimpse into when games were developed with a simple goal in mind - to have fun; not to hook it's players and bleed them dry for every last nickel they own. Best of all, CoC:MW retails for less than the price of french fries on Uber Eats. This level of value in gaming will likely be unmatched for years to come. Don'...

Tried playing this on Linux when it came out - was very buggy, kept falling through walls and couldn't get past the first jumpy pillar. Tried it months later on Windows and turns out I'm just terrible - still can't get past the jumpy bit! Haven't rage quit this hard since Dark Souls 10/10 would recommend
