About the Game

INTRODUCTION

Labyronia paid a fatal price to end the demonic corruption. Along with a new intolerant ruler, the maze-covered world turned to a world of prison cells. The final judgment has been cast, and everyone is guilty.

When a colossal angel statue appears in Labyronia, the people foresee their fate; the eve of summer marks the doomsday. The divine messenger becomes alive and destroys everything.

You are Arres, the only one who can avert the catastrophe. To do this, you must gather your companions, travel through the four seasons, and train for the coming battle. You have only one year to do this, but the keys of time are in your hand.

If you fail, however, you will be forced to witness the apocalypse. The wrathful angel strikes with its burning sword, splitting mountains. Giant earthquakes emerge crushing all traces of order, consuming the world into an endless sea of flames.

KEY FEATURES

  • Travel in time, back and forth the four seasons, or just let the year go by its own weight.
  • Time of day changes in a realistic, seamless way.
  • There is no traditional leveling system. You must craft your own equipment or complete Treasure Quests to grow the stats of the party.
  • Help various people of the world in their troubles to gain more skills in a new "Binding System." This is different from the "Cue System" and "Drain Element System" from the earlier games, but this time the skills are even more important to survive harder battles.
  • You can reach different areas and secrets depending on the season.
  • The main goal of your party is to do all they can to prevent the upcoming destruction.
  • The world ends on the last day of Summer unless you try defeating Nerubis, the Wrath of God. You might lose to him, probably multiple times. You must learn from your mistakes, as you escape back in time through the seasons to figure out new ways to defeat the enemy.

It's a great finale to the Labyronia series. Plays a bit with time and seasons, where the end boss must be beaten within one year. There's mechanics to extend that. Some quests require certain seasons, some areas are only open in winter, chests can only be reached in summer, and other such things. The choice to base stats almost solely on equipment is unusual. Equipment must be crafted which means that some grinding is required to get drops from enemies so you can get the equipment. But you don't really need to do that too much, except perhaps closer to the end of the game. This one features less labyrinths than previous games.

If you are a fan of Labryonia, get this game, if you aren't a fan of Labryonia but into RPG games like this or similar, can get this on sale or full price to support the dev's. For those who don't know what this game is, it is the climax and finale of the Labryonia series, think of it, as the finale of a Quadrilogy saga. It also has done things so differently, that even some veteran rpg gamers will be caught off guard by how the game and system work. The story itself, it also helps address some plot holes in previous Labryonia games. All in all, worth the time to give this a go, enjoy your day fellow gamers and Labrythine!

I's a really good game...the graphics are very cool and the story is interesting... But the dungeon design need some work...there are some areas with some really hidden paths that you need to take...they're not secrets, they're mandatory paths...the worst part is the "childrens room" in the first main dungeon... it would be cool to have some more directions too...I like how you can go to many different places at all times to get new skills and treasure...but when it comes to progress the story sometimes it's hard to know where to go... But overal it's a really good game...7/10

Not sure if this is the literal end of the Labyronia series of games. Still, fail in your mission to become powerful enough to defeat Nerubis in a year, and the world will end. Well, unless you can wipe away all sin and discord against the supreme deity in that time. Which, by the way, you are part of… Decent enough. Also, for those who have been playing the other games in the series, you may as well continue.
