About This Game

Mischance is a game that relies heavily on an RNG system. Each and every little task you perform has the chance to kill you (some more than others).

  • Starter Cards - At the beginning of every run, players will have 3 cards to choose from, each having it's own advantage of reducing the % chance of corresponding types of death.

  • Scenario - Sometimes, a scenario will pop up that gives the players a few options to choose from. Each option can either benefit the player or backfire against them. While some scenarios have randomised outcomes for the same option, others have only one right answer.

  • Health - Your health slowly deteriorates if you do not take care of your hygiene. Make sure to wash your hands regularly!

  • Transport - You have three options to choose from when deciding how to go to work, one of them being skipping work completely. Each option has it's own pros and cons.

  • Finances - Use the limited money you have smartly. Buy appliances that keep you alive or reduce your costs, but be careful not to run out of money in such a perilious situation!

Every night you money gets deducted for foor or tax expenses. Each new day can offer new scenarios or problems. Play smartly, pray you're just lucky enough and maybe...just maybe...you might make it out alive.

One of the most unique indie games out there! The amount of anxiety this game inflicts on the player is insane, clever concept which will keep you occupied for a good amount of time. This is not your average survival game, literally *anything* can kill you. The weak point of the game is the gameplay which is very simple but still good enough to support the narrative & concept. Definitely enjoyed my playthrough and i will come back for those last achievements one day. Not recommended to people with heart rate problems ;)

Wait for a sale. Unique idea but not worth $10. Currently there is a game breaking bug where you will Freshen Up, and you run the risk of being soft locked and required to F7 to restart the entire game. You cant move, cant press escape to open the menu, cant do anything except restart. Fairly frustrating if you've already made headway into your story.

As the description says, death is imminent. Traverse through life for 30 days in this game, where your choice will decide your fate - or the developer gives you ominous message every now and then just to remind you the end is near. Nevertheless, a great game, and given that its early access, has a lot of room for growth. Played, it, enjoyed it, died like a lot, but I persevered. And you know what I got for my perseverance - play and you shall find!

Can't recommend this. It's basically just a coin flip simulator. I like the idea, and it could be good if there was more interactivity, but: There is no way to mitigate the risk of anything whatsoever. Your actions do not matter, other than keeping clean so you're less likely to get sick. It's basically a roguelike, but you don't get anything additional after you die. All of the gameplay takes place in a 3 room apartment. Each day consists of three actions - wash, go to work, sleep. And then RNG just throws you into deaths, usually. You get a modifier at the beginning of the game, but since accidents are tuned to be incredibly common, any of the other modifiers are basically useless. It's like a 10% change to be killed by a bus and a 18% chance to be killed by ceiling fan?? Which makes no sense. In addition, you are given three paid days off from work, which there's basically no reason not to use immediately; and you can buy one of Refrigerator, AC, or Treadmill. However, this is a...
