Be Hero

It's cute, it's fun and it's unfinished. If you want to support the creators, so they can complete the game, add features, and make an awesome finished product, go ahead and purchase now. If you're expecting a polished finished product, buy it but don't play it yet (it's on sale!).

After literally years waiting for a worthy successor of Stardew Valley, I believe we finally have a strong candidate. Dont get me wrong, Be Hero is still incomplete. However, it delivers the joy of farming, mining, and building in a flawless way. Totally recomended. Congrats to the devs.

This is a very addictive game and I had a lot of fun playing it, even after finishing the missions available in the early access version, as you still have a lot of little things to do. I must say that the soundtrack is graceful, it looks like you were pulled straight into the Beerland among the trees, amazing! Even in early access stage this game is already fun and well polished. The developer is very active and always listens to the community. It is a worthwhile game and I am looking forward to new content. You should try it.

This is a great Game! It's not finished, but there is still plenty to do. Finally, an EA game that is not asking 19.99 for a small amount of nothing. Honest review given, the story ends after a bit, but the game is very clear that it is't finished yet. However, while you wait, there is still farming, fishing, mining, and tending to other requests. The dialogue is a mess and also refuses to refer to you in any other way than as a male. I got this for the first debut price and don't regret it. The game is fun and addictive!

Strong Harvest moon vibes, great ost and visuals, Cool questing and the griding is fun, has a lot of potential.

Game has been abandoned by a very rude developer. No responses even to our bug complaints and issues in game. Do not buy this game. You will spend most of your time in game getting stuck on trees and trying to move around looking for trees to cut. Only one tree type can be cut for God know why but its a mess. Movement in the game is like driving a car with a totally messed up alignment and the steering wheel just goes any way it wants. You just cant walk normally. Its feels wonky. Why has this been accepted by players? Also...I waste all my energy daily looking for trees and then passing out due to trying to make it far enough to find a tree. If you pass out from day time passing they take your gold and exp. You cant get it back either. I refunded the game. This developer is one of those that needs to find another hobby. He sucks at this.

Edit December 18, 2022: The last time the developer made an announcement was October (the announcements were supposed to be weekly). It's going on 2 years since the last update of Be Hero. Are the developers dead? Who knows? But I think it's safe to say this game is. Spend your money elsewhere. Edit January 30, 2022: This game hasn't been updated in almost a year. In September 2021, the devs told us they were going through some hard times but the next update would come in 3-4 weeks. That was 3-4 MONTHS ago. I hope I'm wrong but, at this point, I'm pretty comfortable saying it has been abandoned. Original Review: Visually appealing and plays very well. There is a ton of potential here. Many parts of the game are like Stardew Valley but your hero also levels up and unlocks skill bonuses like a traditional RPG. You start as a nobody and get stronger over time by helping people, crafting, and fighting. Great for players who enjoy grinding. Definitely worth buying to support the develop...

This review is more likely to be a first impressions text than a detailed review of the game. So, here it goes: Was expecting a Farming Sim like Stardew Valley, but then what i saw was a adventure game like zelda or pokemon with quests to do and with some interesting characters to talk to, with a farm on the background. Just keeping in mind that i played the Brazillian Portuguese translation and on that particular language the texts were a lot more... coherent with the local puns, so i can't speak about the English translation at this moment. The game also has a character level system. You earn XP by doing stuff on the farm, collecting wood, collecting berries, apples, mining... all the basic stuff. Leveling up grants skill points which you can use to improve some stats like max energy, energy usage while doing stuff, and max health. People often find out that you run out of energy quite fast while doing the day to day stuff, like watering plants, chopping wood or fighting enemies...

Not sure. The basic game is...basic. Very, very basic. In fact, so basic, that there is very little to do but chop and dig, and wait an ungodly amount of time for crops to grow. Unfortunately I found the game boring. With so little to do, and so little development of the story line, the music also started to annoy me heavily. There is just one track, and it lasts for only a few lines, so you will turn off the music almost immediately, and then you are left with a very dull environment to be wandering around in. Unfortunately, there are so many other games of this nature, that Be Hero is well behind the competitors, and with the development speed at present, I don't hold out any real hope of it turning into a finished product that is worthy of your time and money. Sorry devs.
