About the Game
Based on the cult role-playing game and developed by specialists in the genre, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a narrative RPG in which your every choice determines the fate of the three main characters and of the Boston Camarilla.WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF DARKNESS
What if vampires were real? What if these bloodthirsty predators lived hidden among us in complex societies and had been hatching conspiracies for thousands of years? And what if you became one of them?
In Vampire: The Masquerade, you play as these alluring monsters in a sophisticated world where the lines between the real and supernatural are always blurred.
A HEART-POUNDING THRILLER
Hazel Iversen, the Swan, is the new Prince of the Boston Camarilla. An iron hand in a velvet glove, she intends to assert her power and respect the Masquerade, the vampiric law designed to ensure humans never learn of the existence of these creatures of the night. But nothing works as planned. With rumours of plots, murders and power struggles, you must work in the shadows to protect your Sect in a pulsating investigation that plunges Boston into chaos.
PLAY AS 3 ORIGINAL VAMPIRES
Play as 3 vampires who are over a hundred years old. Progress in the game through their intertwined destinies, deal with their different points of view and use their character sheets to try to separate the truth from the lies. Each character has their own vampiric abilities and disciplines that you can upgrade individually to suit your preferred approach. Will you choose intimidation, seduction or stealth? It's your decision, as long as you can sate your Hunger for blood.
GAMEPLAY WITH CONSEQUENCES
With its unique gameplay, Swansong puts emphasis on the consequences of your actions in both the investigation and your social interactions with other characters.
Analyse each situation carefully because your decisions can have huge consequences on your heroes' lives and the fate of the Boston Camarilla.

User Reviews
I cannot recommend this game to anyone. The controls are...odd to say the least, the voice acting is all over the place, and the animations for the characters are far too jarring.
Nearly a point & click game in large sections that play more like a detective game. Largely successful in adapting the setting, perhaps the best VtM game after Bloodlines in plot. Later parts introduce more "gamey" sections that are a bit janky and also plenty of fail states. Recommended, and I hope they do more games like it with a bit more work on making use of the disciplines.
Good story but the gameplay can be lacking. Often clunky, three times in my playthrough I randomly became stuck on small stairways and had to restart the entire 'scene', losing a lot of progress. The quality of the puzzles varies. Most are fine, some are confusing and a disappointing number are just tedious. Examples include a puzzle where you have to deliver an item via a pipe system, but are only allowed to carry one at a time when you need two- meaning you need to repeat a long walk and elevator journey just to pad out time. Visually the game is decent with some stand out excellent moments. Most of the character models look pretty good, though bizzarely Emem's hair in her first few scenes (before she gets an outfit change) looks textureless at times. A weird place to skimp on the graphics considering she's the game's mascot. The story is the kind of thing you'll enjoy if you're already into the VtM setting, it doesn't spend a massive amount of time rehashing the basic premise of...
Boring dialogue. Forced to play a certain way. Doesn't really feel like a VTM game.
Good writing and level design except for the Tremere chantry mission. The unique game mechanics are innovative but inferior to V5 rules.
This is one for VTM fans. If you're not familiar with the setting, you might find this a bit of a tough start. It does not explain the setting at all, and you will need to repeatedly reference the in-game encyclopedia (which is well written but copious) and probably look at online wikis in addition. You will probably also find the jankiness hard to overlook. If you're not interested in VTM, skip this entirely. If you're a seasoned lick, this is a rare vessel for a refined palate. I often find multi-main character story games irritating, but this one kept me hooked with an intricately crafted plot with well realised characters with interconnecting stories. I enjoyed jumping between 3 radically different perspectives - the Toreador wild child Emem, the tired-of-your-crap Ventrue Scourge Galeb, and the prescient but childlike Malkavian Leysha. Each of them felt like a well rounded character with motivations, flaws and failings. All of them would be great fun to play at a VTM table. Th...
I love Big Bad Wolf and I do think they were the right people to make a game like this. After playing the Council, a game from them that I really enjoy, I hoped I'd find the same kind of fun here. Sadly, this game is extremely EXTREMELY buggy. Some very important items cannot be picked up, some items you need to destroy can't be destroyed, and the worst bug of ALL is the Restart button will corrupt your save file, erase it, and make you restart THE WHOLE GAME. If you see this review DO NOT USE THE RESTART BUTTON!! It says it'll restart the current scene but it won't. It'll throw you all the way back to the start of the game. This is such a crazy bug that I can't believe never got fixed. I genuinely think this game would have worked better with 1 protagonist rather than 3. Though the stories are different, only one felt plot relevant and that's Galeb. Leysha's story was at least interesting, and then there's Emem... Your cover girl. I didn't care much for her story it could have been ...
Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a narrative-heavy RPG developed by Big Bad Wolf that plunges players into the dark, brooding world of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe, a rich setting steeped in gothic horror, political intrigue, and personal conflict. Unlike many action-oriented vampire games, Swansong emphasizes storytelling, character development, and complex decision-making, creating an experience that feels both immersive and morally ambiguous. The game offers players a chance to explore the fractured lives of three vampire protagonists, each with their own struggles and secrets, set against the backdrop of a shadowy Boston filled with supernatural conspiracies. The narrative structure is one of the game’s strongest suits. Players switch between three distinct characters—Galeb, a warrior of the Brujah clan; Emem, a Toreador grappling with artistic expression and loyalty; and Leysha, a Nosferatu skilled in stealth and information gathering. Each character brings a u...
I would recommend this game if you already have an interest or a connection to Vampire: The Masquerade. Lots of verbage used is very interest specific and it feels like a comfortable way to come "home". The writing is sometimes lacking and sometimes spot on, and there are some audio issues and bugs still around, but... it's enjoyable if you are the right audience. I got it at 75% off deal and it was well worth that, I'm not sure I'd say fullprice worthy.
