The second episode of the series
You have been hundreds to play My Jigsaw Adventures: Roads of Life and thanks to your help and feedback. We worked very hard to make this new episode even better with more puzzles, more challenges, more variety and additional comfort features. During the development, we managed to include some features from MJA: A Lost Story to MJA: Roads of Life. We will continue to do when that's possible.

While this game is a competent jigsaw game, its main problems lie with the art. It's nice to look at when complete, but it's too washed out to be engaging while you're actually putting the piece together. Most puzzles will consist of "coloured blotches" ranging in a few colour palettes slowly changing hues and about one or two parts that can be considered distinct. If only the game had strong, vibrant art with a good amount of detail, it would be a great game, but as it stands, it's merely passable if you go for low piece count and downright impossible if you go for the max pieces. Developers, please release this with some REALLY strong art and I'll gladly buy this game again!
I am a Jigsaw Puzzle Geek at heart, and although My Jigsaw Adventures: Roads of Life was an amazing puzzle adventure, A Lost Story took me on an unforgettable journey. Yes, this is a journey experience, beautifully illustrated by Jeremy Adams and synced with amazing music scores by Alec Shea, to completely immerse you as the story unfolds, little by little, puzzle by puzzle. There is 20 Jigsaw Puzzles total and each puzzle can be customized with several options. You can play in a Timed or Relaxed Mode, choose from three different Puzzle Shapes (Traditional-Mozaic-Arrow) as well as the Number of Pieces you prefer (28-112-220-500-1000) You can choose where you want the puzzle pieces to be displayed (top-bottom-left-right-or any combination such as top & bottom, or top & right, for example) and where you want the cursor to grab the puzzle piece (such as the center of the puzzle piece) The options don't end with the puzzle pieces! You can choose to display Grid Lines on the puzzle and th...
The dev has gone to a lot of trouble to try and create something different from most jigsaw puzzles. Here in the second offering of the journey puzzles, the dev has added twisted puzzles which I believe everyone will enjoy. The artwork is darker but still very nice. There is a special hidden puzzle that is interesting and challenging. My only complaint would be that the dev uses the puzzle as the background and it can confuse they eye when trying to place puzzle pieces if one needs to put in dark pieces and the grid is over a dark area . Thankfully an icon to move your grid around to find a spot that suits is found at the top right of the screen. I highly recommend this puzzle.
(reviewed: 2020-05-29) v1.035 Positives+++ +I like the continue button that goes to the next puzzle. +Story is written in an intriguing way making you always want to know more. +Music is very enjoyable. +Puzzle is saved when quitting and getting back at it. +There is a lot of customisation. +I like the different puzzle shapes, I think they are cool! +I like the achievements icons both incompleted and completed. I think they are pretty, specially the one with a black diamond-shape when incomplete and a white diamond-shape when completed. Observations and suggestions~~~ Note: I'm comparing features and bugs with the previous title of the same series: "My Jigsaw Adventures - Roads of Life" ~Compared to the previous game: the music still has not been smooth out on the scene transition sometime switching from loud to relaxing or to relaxing to loud. ~Compared to the previous game: there is still a bug with the sound when finishing a puzzle and being on the sc...
Nice Jigsaw puzzle game with refreshing illustrations !
You could do puzzles with 28. 112. 220. 500 or even 1000 pieces (not tested yet 500 and 1000 pieces)...you also have the possibility to unlock 60 & 90 pieces jigsaw (but not sure yet how to do it). Each puzzle have his own music, that's really neat. Also you could do each puzzle on relax mode (no time) or challenge yourself with time limitation (which could be hard with more pieces), or with new sort of pieces type like mosaic (square, usually don't like this one), traditional or arrow shape (that's fun one !). Last things, you also can add a grid to the puzzle layer, and the image of the actual illustration. Oh and you could decide where you want to see all the pieces around the puzzle (up, down, left or right (each of them or only one, two or three spots)). My rating -> 8.5/10 (I hope one day they change the UI...seems a bit too simple/basic)
Steam Achievements corner : all of them seems quite easy....
Fun game, nice puzzles! The game wasn't too long to complete. I'll probably go back to it to try the harder puzzle modes later!
My Jigsaw Adventures - A Lost Story is the sequel to MJA - Roads of Life. However, they are separate stories and you can play them out of order. Took me around 15 hours to complete and get 100% achievements using a mouse (13ish hours on the bulk of it, extra time on the bonus puzzle). Difficulty is easy, with bigger puzzles and differently-shaped pieces if you want more challenge. - This game comes with 20 story puzzles, 15 special puzzles, and one super special puzzle. - There are two modes. One is Normal, and one is Challenge. Challenge sets a timer and you win crowns if you beat it under a specific time. - There are three shapes of puzzle in story mode: Regular, Square, and Arrow. And you can choose how many pieces each puzzle is in the main menu. Pretty sure every other review covered that. I just wanted to stay in the loop. Here's the real review: No one is allowed to thumbs down My Jigsaw Adventures. It's a rule. This is the only adventurous jigsaw series I ...
Awesome Jigsaw Puzzle game with beautiful artworks (every puzzle was a pleasure to complete, and I love the nature theme), interesting story and great soundtrack! I also really like that everyone can decide for themselves how to play the game: you can choose what the background should look like, how many pieces you want (I found that for me, 220 pieces is the perfect amount - not too hard if you have no idea what the picture looks like and not too easy), what shape the pieces should have and if you want the picture and puzzle grid displayed or not. Big plus: All achievements are unlockable just by playing and completing the game, no extra grind needed. The Challenge Mode is a lot of fun, too. Don't wanna spoil too much, but especially the last puzzle was a hard nut to crack and took me quite a while. Though totally worth it :D
Piecing together colorful, fantastical landscapes, accompanied by an interesting narrative and relaxing music, makes for a very theraputic puzzle game. Not to mention you can customize the layout and difficulty of the puzzles at your leisure. 7/10
