Greetings, I have been watching the development of Rinlo for a good few months. After playing Moss I was hooked on finding another 3rd person game with great scenery, moods, voice acting and atmosphere. I am pleased to say Rinlo has most of this. =================UPDATE================ So i have finished the game now, all my points from earlier are still valid, it looks great when you get out the city. But dam this is too short. It took me 64 minutes to finish the game, in its current state. Currently for $15 maybe it is too expensive, unless you want to support the devs. Should you buy it ? Long story short, if you havnt been spending your money on shopping or pints and having a spare $15/£15 around its worth checking out. But it is a bit short currently, wait a few months ======================================================================= Disclaimer - I am only on chapter 2 First impressions review Priced at $15, onsale for £10 this game is at a great price point, ni...

In it's current state, not worth playing or purchasing unless you simply want to support the developer. The most boring puzzle platformer I've ever forced myself to play. This game has huge potential. The character controller is mostly smooth, I only got stuck a couple times and had to reload the last checkpoint. The character's movement direction is based off where your HMD is facing, I'd appreciate being able to turn that off. Sometimes you're sitting in the middle of the level and have to reset your seated position multiple times to face the right direction. The crafting works nicely, but there's only 1 useful item currently. The first time this item is used in the story is absolutely useless, I just crouched and got by undetected.... The environment seems OK, but could use way more polish. The trailers look way nicer than the actual game (I have a 2080ti), but the game does run smoothly and pretty solid around 120fps but there were lots frames dropping. The story seems pretty...

Why are there not more VR games like this? For those of you who loved Moss, you will LOVE Rinlo! This game needs WAY more attention. I want to give a good shout out to the developers for making such an awesome game! I definitely got my moneys worth with this one, and highly recommend it to anyone. The perspective of Rinlo is somewhat like playing inside of a dollhouse in certain areas, with a good story, and some interesting puzzles to solve. Rinlo is one of those games you play when you get sick of the same old shooter blasting games, and just want to have a great VR experience with some unique settings. You will get several hours of game time for a great price. Rinlo is a hidden gem on Steam that more people need to know about. While everyone else is talking about Half Life Alyx, or Blade and Sorcery, I'm one of those people that looks for titles like this one. It's a must have in your library. So please, spread the word about it, and let's get the developers some well earned cash in...

Wonderful! Love it! Not as polished as Moss maybe but still full of beautiful environments. If you like 3rd person VR games, you will most certainly find much to love. If there is one thing that slightly breaks the rhythm here it is the puzzles - I would prefer to have more interaction in the game itself, instead of having to solve puzzles that aren't really related to the actual story. Also, I find the constant changes of viewing point within a given scene to be a bit irritating. If there could be a way to move the viewing point manually instead, that would be great. Having said that, I am very much looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds as new chapters are added!!

I liked this, on balance, but there is a lot wrong with it and it is no classic by any stretch. It is beautiful, and there's about 3 hours of content. However, the crafting system is rubbish and the controls are clumsy. The story is a bit rubbish too. I recommend Moss as an alternative.

Short review: Would have played this longer but this "throw something" to "distract" the guards to get to the next point became very irritating, very fast. After reaching the point to board the transport and crossing some invisible line which triggered the guard at the other side of the screen and 10 tries to get past this point was enough to stop this game and put it in my superfluous folder. Summary: the controls in VR and implemented "distract" system are not polished enough for me to enjoy this game.

The graphics, the music, the dialogue, the details on each room, the story, the dynamics of and player intervention, the challenges, the puzzles, awwwww, i like everything about this game! Don't try to speed your game play, stop, look around, interact with object, a beautiful world on your hands <3. i will play again to get the rest of the achievements :)

I enjoyed this game as far as chapter 5. The game has good graphics and controls were generally ok on the HP Reverb G2. Where I have now lost interest is in getting past the guardians in chapter 5. I have viewed the help video from the developers, but although i follow the same procedure i get killed every single time by the 5 robots in the second circular room with all the chairs and items that block your escape as you run! So a great game spoiled by a challenge which is not enjoyable and just breeds frustration and undoes all the pleasure gained from the previous 4 chapters. If the developers ever make this section a little easier then I will come back and hopefully finish the game. Until then I am moving on to something else. So my recommendation is based upon the 4 chapters i enjoyed.

Seems a great game, and the atmosphere is very good, but the controls are annoying. Jumping to ledges is very difficult, and when you grab the ledge and press the jump button again you fall instead of climbing up. In every other game you climb with the jump button, not fall off. Please fix it.
