About the Game

Create dream homes! From 3D plan modelling through to on-site decision-making, you must bring each project to life while giving free rein to your creativity, to take your architectural firm to the pinnacle of the profession.

In Career mode, you set up your own architectural firm and take on the responsibility of managing a huge variety of contemporary home building projects from start to finish, through a series of key stages:
  • FIRST FIX – Model the walls, rooms, roofs, doors, windows, balconies, etc. according to the customer’s requirements, the terrain, the allocated budget and your creative ideas
  • SECOND FIX – Select the floor, wall and roof coverings to maximise the project’s personal touch, and then install the home’s heating systems to ensure a comfortable temperature even in winter
  • OUTDOORS – Swimming pools, garages, verandas and more, to wow your clients before they even have the time to walk through the front door!
  • LAYOUT – Get the most from every room through judicious placement of the key furniture, to enable your buyers to picture themselves in their future home
  • DECORATION – An option for the most creative players who want to try their hand at decorating their house down to the finest details, from a candle on a chest of drawers to the exact placement and colour of the cushions on the sofa!
  • CONSTRUCTION – Select the subcontractors according to your remaining budget, and supervise the site, while being ready to react to chance events – after all, construction work is notorious for never going exactly to plan!

Once the construction phase is complete, explore your home with the first-person view! Change the position of the sun to admire the rooms’ performance in different lights, and admire your creations in sublime rustic, urban or mountain landscapes.

Make the most of your vast creative freedom with a wide variety of materials, structures and items, and above all innovative construction tools which enable you to design your buildings with precision, from the shape of each room to detailed roof drawings.

Houses on stilts, green energies, more eco-friendly walls and partitions, etc. Boost your skills with every mission in Career mode and unlock new specialities, to take on ever more innovative home building projects!

Don’t feel like accommodating customer demands, limited budgets and the laws of physics? Or alternatively, are you eager to create your own personalised missions? Then free mode is just what you need! Choose your parameters with or without constraints, select a biome and one of the 60 available terrain types, then let your creativity run wild.

Of course, some aspects of the architect’s profession have been simplified – otherwise it would be impossible to play without undertaking many years of study beforehand! The game is intended to be accessible to the general public, and we hope that all players, whether they are simulation, design or architecture fans, will really enjoy taking on the challenges of Architect Life and expressing their creativity.

While the core concept is in place and it works, At the point of writing this review it is very bare bones, While there is customisation I just can't see enough of it to stray away from repeating similar designs.

Constantly crashes and has too many other bugs to say id recommend spending money on this game. Its a good concept with some decent mechanics but its just not stable enough, nor does it have enough furnishing options along with having game play issues such as "rooms not close together" mind you the doors are next to each other...

Honestly, this game is a mess. It feels completely unfinished and more like an open beta than a polished, final game. The building system is incredibly frustrating and walls won't connect properly and the whole interface is needlessly complicated. What really gets me is that the developers are releasing new DLCs while the base game is still blend. It’s a classic example of a company rushing a game out and then trying to sell a "fix" through paid content. Don't waste your money on this one!

I really do not understand why people are hating on this game. It's what I always wanted to do in Sims. Yes, you have relatively limited content, but I'm sure the devs will add more. I'm 6 hours in and just finished a huge 3 bedroom villa and could not be happier about it!

I'm finding this game enjoyable and addictive, rather than frustrating which is a good sign! I think there are a few things that could be improved to make it more playable, like the option of shapes that you can drop and re-size rather than building wall by wall. I'm also looking forward to more objects and finishes that I hope will be in a future patch (rather than a DLC). I'd also love corner kitchen cabinets and cabinets with more widths. Overall it's a fun, creative game and I definitely recommend it for people who like house building games, that are confident in building houses from scratch. I also recommend it for anyone who likes to build houses from real-life floor plans which you can do in the free building mode.

I’ve been experiencing a lot of crashes and bugs recently. If the game were more polished, I’d recommend it, but not in its current state.
