About This Game

Realistic battle depiction
The German player steps into the highly-polished boots of Gen. Erich von Manstein, and attempts to win the game by sweeping the entire peninsula of Soviets. The Soviet player takes the role of the Soviet front commander(s) in the Crimea area, and is generally on the defensive (though often able to make telling counter-strikes), and must attempt to thwart his enemy’s plans and hold out longer than happened historically.A challenging strategic problem
Be warned this is not an easy game to win as the Germans. The Soviet defender will dig in and make you fight to take the Crimea. You will need to make the most of your unit's abilities and bring overwhelming odds to critical points on the battlefield.Game Scale: Each hex on the map equals approximately 7.5 miles/ 12 kilometers from side to side.
Units represent Division, Brigades, Regiments and Battalions that were present in the Crimea at this time.

User Reviews
Too many glitches--and crickets from the developers. Ashamed that it has to be this way. I wanted to like this game and their coming titles, but beware--there are unaddressed issues.
The game plays very smooth. My only complaint would be that the rulebook included is not very complete, so you will not really understand what is going on.... Fortunately, I own the physical game, and have the original rulebook. The most important info missing from steam rulebook is there is no CRT table for combat, or barrages, so judging how to make your attacks, artillery, and use of air power will be tricky. Since I know the game, though, I very much enjoy the steam version. It takes some strategy. I have beaten the AI in just 7 turns now. I think the AI plays well, but I think the Germans have the advantage once they know how to play. For me, the purchase is worth it because it is a fun puzzle, though once you figure it out, you will probably use the same strategy every time.
