Don't want to hate, got this game for literally no money, but you honestly don't do anything in this game, you can just left-click to add a piece of building and right-click to remove it and that's the whole gameplay. You can't choose what type of a piece of building you add or really anything. I understand it's supposed to be a simple chill game but there's honestly no point to it whatsoever. I spent 5 minutes on it and already got bored and didn't see any point in playing.

About This Game
Townscaper is an experimental passion project. More of a toy than a game. Pick colors from the palette, plop down colored blocks of houses on the irregular grid, and watch Townscaper's underlying algorithm automatically turn those blocks into cute little houses, arches, stairways, bridges, and lush backyards, depending on their configuration.

Yet another game with a great concept abandoned by its developers. 7/10
Townscaper is not a bad game, technically speaking, its a great game with its wonderful sound design , it's easy to us UI and it's very simple controles. The main problem for me is the lack of meaning, you make a little town for the first hour or so but then it feels like you have nothing else to do. I do understand that that's most likely how the game is supposed to be and instead you just make up your own head cannon but its just not for me, there's nothing to reach for.
Looks great but fun for like 15 minutes.
Cute, cozy, but lacking in variety. Played for 20 minutes and I feel like I'va seen every variation this game can offer. Since you can't decide what to build (you can pick the color), I feel like more random elements would have to show up for this to be entertaining for longer than that. Refunding this and getting Tiny Glade instead.
good game, i rebulit alcatraz island, and bulit the world trade center right next to eachother and made them declare war on eachother.
The game has huge potential, but the developers aren’t working on it.
Way overrated, too simplistic
very boring do no recomend ass
It's really relaxing to play this, I usually play and listen to a podcast and create some things. Its really calming and soothing to create something with these small blocks, takes me back to times when I drew art or played with lego bricks and created something unique. I do wish though there were more features, like different building blocks, bridges or lights, it would also be nice if I saw people and cars move around in my little town.
