It's fairly shit. Trans knights, gay marriages, critical race theory. Everything you don't want in a game, packed into a neat little box of PC politics being shoved down your throat. Then the game itself: half assed and repetitive. The "dungeons" are all the same dungeon. Multiple times. And I mean multiple. With other Borderlands games, me and my buddy we'd play alone because we couldn't wait to play together, and we 100% all games except the pre-sequel. This one, we started this shit in March 2025 and we haven't gone past 30 hours; in a couple of weeks we've done more than that on Helldivers. Do yourself a favour: don't buy. They do not respect your money or your time.

User Reviews
AS OF THIS REVIEW, THE 2K TERMS OF SERVICE TURN THIS TITLE INTO SPYWARE, therefore negative score from me. If this does not bother you, review below. It's a good game. That said, it does have quite a few flaws, and it annoys me in a particular way because they ALMOST got it right with a few things, only to fumble the concept for what feels like no reason. A list, so that I remain somewhat coherent: - the game has collectibles (which is fine), said collectibles influence gameplay (which is amazing), BUT there are entirely TOO MANY OF them; the rewards only come at the end of the game, with the exception of the Shrines; for all that I find it neat to see 100% on the World Map and all the bonuses on my character, collecting them was an absolute chore AND only the Loot Dice seem to count for all your characters at once - locations were improved by the multiple floors / levels / platforms and upward movement, BUT the platforming is clumsy at best (navigation was nice when going thr...
My least favorite Borderlands game so far but still a good game. The voice actors are great but I couldn't stop hearing the villain as Bojack Horseman and Valentine as Jake from Brooklyn 99. Good humour with a silly plot as expected from a Tiny Tina game. It was fairly short which is a good thing imo. The overworld map was lame and hopefully they never bring that back to the franchise. The DLC is some of the laziest, worst DLC ever and not worth the price. 47/47 achievements unlocked. I give this game a 7.5/10
Borderlands: medieval diversity, equity, and inclusion edition
I've played every Borderlands game ever. This is the worst one yet. Horrible dialogue and story line. The gay stuff is unnecessary and annoying. No soundtrack, I never heard music playing unless during cut scenes. No memorable characters or memorable boss fights. No challenge: I played it on the hardest difficulty and chaos mode; waste of time. In no way is it DND or RPG, just boring mobs. And the DLC... not even worth mentioning. I'll just go back and replay BL3. I really hope BL4 is better or this series is over.
Tos change in favor of spyware is scummy af especially when it even affects gog games
Compared to the past Borderlands games, this is a shit game. It will disappoint you.
After the 3rd or 4th reference to fascism I'm done. Terribly written by brain dead morons.
It's a great game to play. Not too hard for this old chook and it's entertaining too.
Gameplay: 8/10

Graphics & Sound: 8/10

Narration: 6/10
✔️ Nice iteration over the Borderlands formula in a kinda medieval fantasy setting. ✔️ Cool spell system that replaces the grenades from other Borderlands games, enjoyable alternative gameplay that uses cooldowns instead of ammo. ✔️ Loved the multiclassing system that allows to open up a lot of fun build mix-matching. ✔️ Rich character customization! 💭 The fact player characters don't have any specific personality removes a lot from their charisma. On the other hand it allows the players to be fully in control of what they imagine for those, but it kinda breaks off with part of what tends to make the Borderlands experience impactful. 💭 The overworld feature is a bit of a mediocre addition - in theory the idea seems nice and fun, but it makes movements between areas a bit more tedious in the way it is implemented, while obfuscating a bunch of features in UI behind several layers of m...
