An incredibly fun Rhythm Shooter with every roguelike trapping from The Binding of Isaac (Treasure rooms, shops, casinos, keys and chests, you know the deal) The soundtrack is awesome and the gameplay is good enough to still recommend it, but holy crap is the art direction of this game a baffling, awful choice. The monochrome super saturation grates more as you play it. If the trailers' aesthetic turn you off, it won't get any better in-game.

About This Game
Fight as a mighty Valkyrie to repel the forces of the underworld from invading the world of Asgard.
Gameplay
In BPM, all of your actions and the actions of your enemies are tied to the beat of the music. Your enemies perform a dance-like sequence of attacks to an epic rock opera. BPM is inspired by retro shooters of the 90’s. It is fast, frenetic and rhythmical. You can double jump, dash, rocket jump and bunny hop to evade your opponents.
Your goal is to reach the end of randomly generated dungeons, collecting different weapons, abilities and items each time you play. These weapons and abilities can radically alter the way you play, making each playthrough unique.
You must defeat 7 bosses to reach the final boss. Each boss moves and attacks in a unique way that you must learn to exploit if you want to succeed. Some attacks require you to jump over fields of lava, some to dodge fast projectiles, some to hold fast for a beat.
Features:
- Shoot, jump and dodge to the beat while battling hordes of enemies.
- Fight powerful bosses in challenging boss battles that will push you to the edge.
- Explore randomly generated dungeons.
- Choose from 10 different characters with unique strengths and weaknesses.
- Wield a powerful arsenal of weapons, all with different behaviour for firing and reloading to the beat of the soundtrack.
- Battle a diverse array of enemies, each with unique rhythmic behaviours.
- Get overpowered and fire shotgun rockets while flying through the air.
- Utilize abilities that radically alter the way you play the game, from teleport to freezing bolts.
- Equip over 60 items that buff your character in unique and interesting ways.
- Experience an epic rock opera soundtrack.
- Challenge modes for extra gameplay.
- Add Custom Music into BPM and shoot, dash and dodge to the beat of your own soundtrack.

Rhythm roguelike boomer shooter. Difficulty depends on your luck. After finishing the game the first time, I have no willing to play it again on another difficulty and with another character. As a short BPM game, this is nice, but very repetitive. 6\10
Game is very cool. The soundtrack is perfect for this type of gameplay. It's sad that only a few people know about this game
Get lucky, Gamble hard; Win harder. Fun game. Luck build is fun. You get lots of stuff.
Short summary... Guitar Hero with guns. Really worth buying. This game is really well done, I am a drummer and drummers have rhythm. And guess what! If you dont shoot or reload on the Beat Per Minute, your guy will not shoot. So the fact that the gun shots and reloading sound and abilities actually have to be on beat can give you an idea that you add to how the music sounds! Levels are always randomly generated and you clear room for room. Fight bosses so it's really worth the price!
I picked up BPM because, despite how poorly I play rhythm games, I thought I'd be able to get into a rhythm shooter. This is a rhythm-gamers-only game. Don't fool yourself into believing you'll suddenly be able to play something in this genre if you couldn't before. BPM is not here to help.
cool concept
fun and fast. my only complain is that the custom songs doesn't work really well
Such a good rhythm shooter, with great replay value. Playing all the different characters, difficulties, trials and challenges is really fun. Good music as well.
Incredible soundtrack, punishing difficulty, but fair as hell. Every death is earned, never feels cheap. Tight controls and rhythm driven replayability make each run a pounding, pulse-pounding riot. It’s hard as nails in the best way. A breathtaking, beat synced bullet ballet from start to finish!
