An utterly moving piece of art. Honestly, I'm a bit lost for words. I went into this game blind, not knowing what to expect, and I can say I'm very glad I did. It is basically a walking sim with a strong narrative that is almost novel-like. At this low price point, I highly recommend experiencing this hidden gem for yourself. It's brief but haunting and will stick with you long after the story is done. Bravo!

Incredibly deep expression of a very sad event in the history of the world. Excellent game and time well spent!
As a South Tyroilian, I was excited about this game! The screenshots of the buildings look nice and the story of Curon is certainly well-suited to a Edith-Finch-like game. Bu then I saw the human characters. They do not fit into the quasi-realistic enviroments and remind me too much of Minecraft for a serious story. The writing is also rather strange.
Bello!
I had A Painter's Tale on my "to play list" for a while and I finally lauched and finished the game. it was such a nice story that I actually didn't know about. I really enjoyed the theatre-like narration and all the bonus content (paintings, stories etc) were super welcomed. It is a very elegantly made story overall, with nice characters and great scenery. Steam says I played it 30mns but I actually finished it in about 3 hours. I recommend it to anyone who likes story games that has documentary elements.
A gentle and relaxing game that allows the player to immerse themselves within history. I never thought I would feel such nostalgia from a quaint little town, or receive goosebumps upon my finishing of the game. Though the movement was a bit awkward at times, the shading and colours of Curon were stunning, and the soundtrack was beautiful. The story is novel-like, the visuals are picturesque, and you will walk out of this piece of art with a fleeting, but haunting experience of a tale from the past.
Very nice short story centered around real events. There is no much gameplay aside from exploring, interacting and talking, but characters and places feel alive, so it's not boring at all.
Objectively:
8.5/10
Amazing. They made a video game out of the sad yet hopeful story of a small town. I've never played a game that was so real before.
