Hard West 2

Hard no. Loved the first, but it has not transitioned very well into the second game. Story is quite bland and it's missing some good hooks. You're on the hunt for Mammon because he stole your soul but the premise is boring. It's a shooter puzzle game and sure, i'm down for that, IF the game would deliver on other aspects, and it sadly does not. Hard West 1 had an amazing theme and art style, 2 is rumbling around, trying but sadly not delivering. I understand what they were going for with the card system, but it lacks complexity. You slab a four of a kind on every member and you will have most of their traits activated. Damage balance is quite good though, I liked that. Most weapons have a high base damage and throughout the game you will find weapons which have +1 or +2 damage, but it's actually impactfull (since it decreases the amount of shots you need to finish off enemies). Short but sweet, would definitely recommend for anyone looking for some Wild West fun.

I had tons of fun with this game! It's approachable xcom with less sitting behind covers with overwatch and more guns blazing. which is what I needed. My one thing that's perhaps a con - I didn't feel like I wanted to replay the game again on harder difficulty to do all the achievements.

Haven't played the prequel Gameplay is okay; I did not encounter any bugs during my play. But the game is too short, and the story is meh.

I love turn based strategy games combat games. But Hard West 2 is not a good one. The combat is not particularly interesting. There are way too many enemies to grind through. Poor AI. The enemies generally all feel the same with minimal differences between them other than the number of hit points they each have. Your characters also mostly play the same, and each character has precisely one real special ability, unlocking maybe 1-2 others with its confusing playing card based level up system. The combats are very poorly balanced, and often feel pushover easy or painfully difficult. Equipment is barebones and uninteresting. I could go on and on about its shortcomings, but that would be a waste of time, just like this game.

Utter disappointment. Going from one of the best turn based games to one of the worst. The 1st game was a really good game I enjoyed playing 2 times and still is a great game. This one however is the complete opposite. Not gonna waste my time playing or going to details why its bad. Anyone who played the 1st game will know immediately why this game is terrible. Reminds me the same failure of Xcom 2.

Simple but very engaging tactics game. Very pleasant surprise that doesn't overstay its welcome

Game is awesome. Details. Gameplay. Story. There's just one thing that makes me mad: IT'S TOO FREAKING SHORT! I finished the story in less than a week. And I don't like that.
