Why do i need UPlay on Steam to play a local singel player game?

Singleplayer? Fuck you too, Ubisoft.

The best Anno game. Played hundreds of hours of the original and Venice. Runs well and looks as I remember it (so probably a little better).

Its sort of fun, BUT there is not a clear idea on what to do.. Simple things like buying seeds and not knowing what or how to plant. Then the game goes from casual to crazy.

Can never get this game to load. I've had it for months and I never been able to play it. Stay away. don't waste your money.

The game starts off with a heavy focus on diplomacy. And you know what that means! Clicking on foreign sounding names in unintuitive menus to accomplish mundane tasks other city builders don't ever bother you with! You've seen games like this before, right? It's games where all of the relevancy of what little is actually happening on the screen is conveyed through text boxes. It's like the game is saying, [i]"Yes, big things are happening! No really! No really! You can't see it, but just take our word for it! That character is doing stuff!"[/i] See games like Crusader Kings for more. To top it off, all of the text and speech in the game is written in a very flowery sort of way, like somebody from the actual 1400s wrote it specifically for this game. And so, verily could it be said, all but none of such recordings are chronicled here and forthright, fully to give agency to the audience's immersion, so as to allow for the utmost illusion for all minds lent. I play on Nobara and it runs smooth. Its Anno 1404. You know the rest
