House of Ashes looks good and has an okay story, but playing it is not fun. Most of the time, you just watch cutscenes. About 70% of the game is watching, not playing. Some scenes are too long and don’t help the story. You walk a little, then watch a cutscene, then walk again. It happens again and again. This gets boring very fast. At the end, I just wanted the game to finish. The story had some good parts, but the game is too slow and not interesting to play.

About This Game

The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of standalone, cinematic branching horror games where the decisions you make in the game determine the story and the outcome you receive.
House of Ashes is the third game in the series.
In House of Ashes, at the close of the Iraq War, Special Forces hunting for weapons of mass destruction unearth something far deadlier – a buried Sumerian temple containing a nest of unearthly creatures. To survive the night below, they must forge a brotherhood with their enemies from the world above.

- Navigate the underworld and escape a terrifying threat
Fight your way out of a buried sumerian temple against hordes of deadly monsters that have claimed you as prey.
- The enemy of your enemy is your friend
This time, your crew is composed of 2 opposing factions that rarely see eye to eye. Can you put aside your character's rivalries to fight together as one ?
- Don't play alone
The two critically acclaimed multiplayer modes are back. Share your story online with a friend or aim for safety in numbers through the offline 5-player pass-the-pad mode.

The Curator's Cut
The Curator's cut features new scenes playable from the other characters' perspective with brand new choices and decisions to make.
The Curator's cut is only available once you have completed the main story.

Col.), Jason Kolchek (US Marines), Nick Kay (US Marines), and Salim Othman (Iraqi Republican Guard)—inside a buried Akkadian temple after a seismic event. The present-day tale is intercut with a prologue set in 2231 BC that foreshadows the horror’s ancient roots. This is my favorite of the Dark Pictures anthology so far. I want Jason & Salim to return in future realeases.
Semper Fi! In this game you play as a few jarheads (plus a CIA girl, and an Iraqui soldier) in a "choices matter" style game. It is short, but will keep you in the edge of your seat. Ura! Ura! Ura!
A good story. Little Hope's ending was more of a surprise than this one. But all in a ll a good game. I hated the "locked triat" mechanic in LH, I was happy to see it was removed in this game.
so good
