God I need an Overlord 3 that isn't Fellowship of Evil

I bought both these games.

The second part of my favorite childhood game, I recommend playing it if you like to control your retinue and send it to exterminate all living things + winter - Rome and the Elves

A fantastic sequel to an already fantastic series. I remember when this came out, I had it bookmarked on my calendar and woke up like it was Christmas. I cannot talk enough about how much I praise the Overlord series. I left a more detailed review on the Overlord Rising Hell page but TLDR. Get this game. Its a beloved treasure and I hope you will have as much fun as I did and still do with this title

Overlord 2 is a curious game for me. While i have (almost) nothing but happy memoires of the first game, I didn't find such love with the second. I remember specifically reaching the boat section and then just... giving up, thinking "oh god this is awful, i don't want to have to do this on and off through the rest of the game". On a second try, i was very happy to find that i didn't have to do that and, in fact, it was basically just that part and the next level... and that was it. I have no idea why they had to make us suffer through that at all if it was all going to end that fast but... hey, nice i guess? Overlord 2 is a mechanically competent game with some questionable design choices and overall, less of the vibe the first game had. THe characters aren't as interesting, the story isn't really as gripping... the twists and turns just... really aren't that exciting. The final twist, the secret identity revealing itself (or both i guess?) just kind of fell flat to me. Neither char...
