EARLY ACCESS ROADMAP

About the Game

Kings love fast cars, crazy creations, and crashes. Let’s find out why!

Build cars with combustion or electric engines, or maybe both? You design the powertrain using axles, gears and suspensions to get the power from the engines through the wheels and onto the asphalt. Whether you build rear-wheel-drive, or power all 30 wheels of your speed machine, as long as you engineer a gear transmission, you are guaranteed to go!

Design and engineer your own car, truck, tank, plane or whatever you can think of in the easy-to-use build editor. Whether you have 4 wheels, 16 wheels, propellers, pistons, or 50 engines... vehicle construction is all yours!
Realistic or ridiculous – it’s up to you!

There’s a group of fancy royals convinced they have the best cars in the world, and who better than you to prove them wrong! Each monarch uses different building blocks to activate special mechanical features in their vehicles. Challenge them and beat their creations to unlock new engines, wheels and gears.

Take your top turbo-powered creations, start up a multiplayer server, and invite your friends to race around the island together in a variety of tracks and challenges!

This game is sort of a middle ground between Trailmakers, which I feel is quite simplistic in vehicle design, and GearBlocks, which is very advanced. Screw Drivers strikes a great balance between extensive customization and creativity but not requiring an engineering degree to make a basic vehicle. The building system is very much like playing with Lego Technic, and in a good way. There are some restrictions as blocks can usually only be attached to on one side, so getting the correct combinations of 90 degree joints can be a bit of a finagle, but in my mind this increases the diversity of builds vs just simple boxes slapped together. This game gives me serious flashbacks to Lego Racers 2 in particular, it's only missing powerups and AI players to zap with powerups. Definitely recommend this game to anyone who thinks the trailers look fun. The game is in early access, but it's easily worth the $5 for the supporter pack already. I put about 9 hours into the Demo and had plenty of fun...

I really want to like this game. The building is currently far more time consuming than need be, hopefully parts will be able to be selected and shifted around without deleting them at some point. The actual driving leaves a lot to be desired, and the career track design on the races was obviously done by a sadist. There are all kinds of roads and dirt tracks on the map, but the career races will be like, "Nope, don't follow this road you've been on around the curve to the right. Instead, do a hard 90 degree left hand jump off this cliff right here. What do you mean, you didn't see that coming? On the next race, we're going to make the first checkpoint face directly into a wall. Good luck!"

It's cute, it's fun, and can be challenging. I'm only a few hours in, but for the price tag (FREE), the $7cad support felt good.

Cool game, even cooler people behind it. Currently the game has some quirks and questionable decisions BUT they are listening to the community and making changes based on that. That also means the old tech tree is also coming back! They are testing with different ideas so expect some odd changes but never take them as permanent.

Game looks fun, but the building is more frustrating then fun. There are parts that are impossible to place like long beams from left to right side. The building is very bad. Saw a video on youtube and instantly bought the game and the supporter pack, but its not the same game I saw on the video.
