A fast, fun sprinter/racer by Sumo Digital, a company that certainly knows how to make those (the Sonic kart games, Outrun 2 and C2C, various Forza titles, and more), but this is unfortunately weighed down by too many bad decisions. The biggest one being trying to make this a multiplayer/live service thing. Of course that didn't work, it never works for smaller/indie games, and the game has been averaging about 5 players a day for months now. The last update was 7 months ago. Obviously it's dead as a doornail, but that would imply it was actually alive as a multiplayer game at one point and it never was. Thankfully though, there are bots to race against online, and a few months ago they brought in a couple offline modes. Unfortunately we come to the next bad decision, one of those two offline modes is called Episodes, which are basically challenges, and there are about 50 of them. The most difficult challenges you'll ever freaking play! I'm an old school gamer so I'm well familiar wit...

There's an elegance to the motion when you get into a rhythm—stringing together moves while do...
It's a racing game that boots you up with a tutorial; you're then supposed to try out some of their challenges, their multiplayer mode or 'rehearsals'. Solo challenges are some what of a relief. The ones with AI opponents are solitary life shows. Whatever this game is supposed to be is compensated by the general 'tone' of the game. The tone being: That Japanese Uncle you're not related to is very disappointed with your Car and your general social skills. I can't really say that I've spent a lot of time playing this game because I'm not sure how I can make this thin experience... fat enough. The controls are 'lame' to give it a word. Fall Short, Fall Short, Fall Short. Worth the 3.21 Dollars... but that's 2 cans of Coca Cola, Mister!
I haven't played this game for terribly long, but it checks just about every box I could want for a game like this. Gameplay is perfect and feels so satisfying to master and the levels, while taking a bit of getting used to, are laid out very well (for the most-part). From the wall-running to the items (similar to Mariokart) to the rail-grinding and everything else pertaining to the movement and gameplay, it all hits so right. I've also seen some call this a dead game and it very well might be getting there, but I've easily found matches every since I've started playing. There's also custom games against bots alongside missions that are challenging but so satisfying to complete. It probably won't be perfect for everyone, but it definitely is for me :)
Suuuuch a fun game, especially when all the movement just links together to create something that looks cool and very satisfying to play. Along with that, the controls feel very good, the wallrunning in particular feels way better than a certain kart racing game released this year. It's a shame there are barely anyone playing online now, but the devs added in bots in online lobbies so you can still get the achievements that would be impossible to get otherwise. It's a good game. Would recommend.
I like how fast paced the game is. The event mode for Mag Shields is super fun!! Just running as fast as you can and everything blowing past you. The sensation is speed I get from playing this game is pretty cool. It's pretty straight forward. I like how there's an underlying story looming about how we're clones in a race. But I also like how there's no story mode. Just play the game. It adds a level of mystery behind the lore. And as I unlock cover photos I read them and feel I get a dive into the lore.
