This game is really well done! Super retro graphics with a hilarious opening, fun and addictive game play, and the best one-liners you've ever heard from a pissed off super hero from the 80's. This is one of those games you'll probably keep coming back to over and over. Difficulty is high but rewarding when you get the hang of it!

About This Game
So, what does daddy get?
- Play Arcade style or the NEW Casual game! - Whether you're looking for the pulse pounding fun only found within the 80s arcade machines or a lazy romp through the 8-bit landscape, we've got you covered!
- Both action AND racing! - Race to reach checkpoint before time runs out while blasting enemies in Anubis, aka the Jackal Mobile!
- Varied enemies - Take on a motley gang of enemies, each with their own unique abilities and weapons. You'll need to learn their weaknesses or accept certain defeat!
- Diverse courses - Blast your way through bustling cityscapes, eerie wastelands, slippery snow-covered tundras, and more! Explore all SIX locations, each with three different versions to keep replayabiliy high.
- Multiple vehicles - Get behind the wheel of three custom Night Jackal vehicles! Each with their own unique playing experience.
- Casual Drive - Select the casual drive option to remove enemies and any punishment for killing civilians. That's right, feel free to unleash your inner a**hole!
- Punishingly 80s hard - Just like the retro arcade games of the 1980s, this game gets progressively difficult as you play. How long can you last?
- Local and online leaderboards - Track your personal best and see how you fair against the online community!
- Original music - Jam out to the super cheesy main 80s theme (yet amazingly catchy) as well as the custom 8-bit tracks during gameplay!
- All original characters - A profane and ridiculous ensemble of original characters created for this game's universe!
- Homages - There are countless homages from an iconic time traveling car from an 80s movie to references to old video games. How many can you spot?
- Adult themed - This ain't a game for the kiddos, Bub. It contains naughty language, adult themes, and a really puerile sense of humor that's almost always in bad taste.
- Censored version - Don't want all the blood and sexual innuendos? Or the "trying too hard" edgy voice over? That's cool, we're not offended. We have that option, too.
- Compatible with PS4 controller - Plug and play with the PS4 controller! (Be sure the PS4 controller support is turned off in Steam's controller settings)
- Authentically retro! - Coded from a core module similar to OpenGL, this game uses math concepts implemented in Pseudo 3D games drawn in 2D vector space back in the 80s and 90s. The game is presented in a 4:3 aspect ratio like the old CRT monitors found in arcade consoles for that authentic retro feel!

Game is a great mash up between a few classic arcade racer (Spyhunter, Outrun, Roadblasters etc.) with a great soundtrack to back it up. Not a lot of time in yet at all but I can tell I'll be playing more. Some things I'd love to see are - Better PC graphics customization options - Better Controller support - Wheel Support would be nice
Just tested #nightjackal! I really like it! :) The atmosphere is great, some lovely mix between Death Rally, Duke Nukem and Chase HQ! But caution, it's hard... The advertizing says true on that matter! ;)
It's more like a good prototype than an actual game. The driving is decent and I like the mood (even if that fake 80s shit is starting to get tired) but it's lacking something that would make you want to play it more than an afternooon
In more ways than one, simply a cruder version of RoadBlasters.
Great value, the game's a ton of fun. Reminds me of the old Spy Hunter series. Fast paced with a ton of character. Maybe a bad voice line or two, but the rest are actually pretty cool. Looks like the devs are actually still active too! Some new content was added literally seconds ago. Surprised it hasnt gotten more love.
A fun arcade game. It kind of reminds me of the old Spy Hunter arcade game which was my favourite arcade game back in the late eighties. The retro and fuzzy retro graphics are fun, however, remember to go into options and change video mode to see what screen looks best on your system, as initially I could barely even read the text. Once I had it at the highest setting it was ready for my system.
A racing game with a timelimit and shootingaction catapults you right to the 80s. The control is ez except dodging the cars and projectiles on the street. Its far away from being an ez game which can be frustrating even at the first level. For 4 Euro u get what the trailer promises you. Absolutely worth it if u like racinggames, shootingames and retro
Only played it for a little bit but so far so good - aside from one of the funnier openings you're going to see, this is a fun driver/shooter with great retro graphics. Things blow up nicely! My only request would be Steam controller support.
