This game is incredibly fun. Once you get through the first few levels and get a handle on the grappling mechanics you can really start zipping from hook point to hook point to solve your way around the games various obstacles (and saving those dear, dear Battery Bots). it is equal parts satisfying, challenging and addicting. Couple that with vibrant, charming visuals and an awesome soundtrack and it is well worth the price of admission. I would highly recommend to anyone with even the slightest interest in fun, creative platformers.

Get-A-Grip Chip is a refreshingly innovative take on platformers! I am magnetized to its fluid gameplay, charming storyline, and catchy soundtrack. To anyone hesitating on playing this game, I would say, get a grip!!!
a fun and challenging little platformer. Loved the way the music went with the levels, I found myself nodding along with a bunch of the songs, and Chip is such a fun protagonist. Took me about 4 hours to beat, but I did end up playing a bunch of levels again to try and climb the leaderboards for time as well as rescue more of the little robots. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a fun indie platformer!
Cute robot game with polished gameplay and a cool soundtrack :)
Short but very fun and charming game with a unique, fluid movement system. It never gets *too* difficult either, so players of most skill levels should be able to enjoy it. Good level design throughout, and it really shines in the chase levels at the end of each world and some of the more vertical levels. There are 8 optional bots in each level to collect that usually provide extra challenge, which helps the game not feel quite as short by giving a reason to revisit levels. Great game for anyone who likes to grind out time trials. Only real issue with that is that the ending cutscene seems to play every time you complete the final level, and it's not skippable, which makes grinding out times for it a little irksome. I do think this game has potential for a small but competitive speedrunning scene, which I'd be excited to see form. Some of the achievements, namely the ones that require you to die in various ways, feel like filler, but in general the achievements are fitting and provid...
After having a bad experience at first due to the game malfunctioning on my platform of choice...
all problems have been solved
and now I can say the game is quite entertaining and I love its approach to platforming. Works great on Fedora 35, I really recommend it and I plan to play intensively after completing some real life challenges.
Having beta tested this game prior and playing it now, I've had more than my fair share of experience with it, but I can't speak highly highly enough about it. Its fun, cute, and challenging if you want it to be. I'm not usually one for a platformer, but this is one that isn't Contra punishing and is instead something you can have fun with and chill. Sometimes you don't need to whiteknuckle rage through a game to appreciate it. Maybe you can just appreciate the detail of a jiggling battery bot animation and swing through a level like a Wall-e trying to be spiderman and just love the shit out of that.
As many of the other reviews mention, the game has a really fun mechanic for getting around that sets it apart from other platformers. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to find all the bots on my first run though (some are very deviously hidden!), but it has also been good for speeding through a level or two when I have a couple minutes to kill. I'd definitely recommend picking it up!
It's a lot of fun! I haven't played a ton yet - but it's a fun premise and mechanically satisfying to play.
super smooth and fun platform experience. the right mix of difficulty, and a natural learning curve.
