This idle game relies far too heavily on wikis — if you want to make good decisions and progress efficiently, you basically have to read them. That kills any sense of mystery or discovery, which is the main draw of games like this for me. The game never communicates its long-term goals clearly, so I often just feel lost, unsure what I’m even working toward. It doesn’t offer anything unique, only the same engagement traps you see in cookie clickers or FarmVille-style games, but without a sense of direction or satisfying payoff. Progress often feels like busywork just to keep you logged in, not because you’re building toward something meaningful. The UI is clunky — especially in the Bank tab — and the overall design, including in-game descriptions, is poor and inconsistent, making even basic actions more tedious than they should be. The presentation is dry and mechanical; most of the time it feels less like playing a game and more like clicking through Excel sheets. It’s ...

About This Game

Inspired by RuneScape, Melvor Idle takes the core of what makes an adventure game so addictive and strips it down to its purest form!
Master Melvor’s many RuneScape-style skills with just a click or a tap. Melvor Idle is a feature-rich, idle/incremental game combining a distinctly familiar feel with a fresh gameplay experience. Maxing 20+ skills has never been more zen. Whether you’re a RuneScape newbie, a hardened veteran, or simply someone looking for a deep but accessible adventure that easily fits around a busy lifestyle, Melvor is an addictive idle experience unlike any other.
Every skill in this game serves a purpose, interacting with the others in interesting ways. This means all the hard work you put into one skill will in turn benefit others. What strategy will you conjure to achieve maximum skillage?
It doesn’t just end with Woodcutting, Smithing, Cooking and Farming either – take your finely honed tapping abilities into battle and face off against 100+ monsters using your Melee, Ranged and Magic skills. Conquering brutal dungeons and toppling boisterous bosses has never been quite like this before…
In addition to over 20 skills to level up, there’s offline progression, cloud save compatibility, an integrated Bank/Inventory system and more! And thanks to its regular updates, the adventure continues to grow all the time.
Do you have what it takes to conquer Melvor?

Its like clicking around an excel sheet at work, except you aren't getting paid for the experience
⚔️ Melvor Idle - A Runescape Fan's Offline Leveling Bliss
What I Played: As a Runescape fan, I dived into Melvor Idle to scratch that offline leveling itch. I spent hours perfecting my skills and exploring the vast world within the game. The Good:

I loved how Melvor Idle captures that addictive essence of adventure games like Runescape but in a more distilled, idle format. It's perfect for when you want to unwind and progress without intense focus.
The skill leveling system is incredibly satisfying. Maxing out over 20 skills felt like a true accomplishment, and the zen-like experience kept me hooked for more.
The Bad:

One thing that bothered me was the initial learning curve. Understanding all the mechanics and systems took some time, but once I got the hang of it, the game became highly engaging.
I also found that some skills were more imbalanced than others, affecting the progression pace. It would be great...
Bought this game a month ago, already at 400 hours and coming on everyday to do more. I love it so much that I even supported through Patreon to be ready for Melvor Idle 2 :D
Absolutely loved the base game. Every expansion is vile. Do not buy the expansions. They are a poorly designed, convoluted messes that make the game less and less of the idle experience it's supposed to be the more you dabble with them.
Until they change the fact the barrier gems and barrier touch gems are using the same icon and the fact that you need barrier gems to make barrier touch potions and not barrier touch gems... I cannot in good faith suggest this game to anyone. This issue is like when you have a fan that starts clicking and it just gets under your skin.. Why would anyone with a brain design it this way.. Just.. no.
Overall I really enjoyed my time with Melvor although the more DLCs I purchased the more it began feeling less like an old school runescape experience. All the farming, township & other similar skills made the whole game feel like busywork. Overall I still think Melvor is good although there's too much busywork & tedium that I don't feel motivated to 100% it.
It is perfect to play on the Go or at home. Simple and lots to accomplish. Fun game.
Yeah it's fine.
This game is built for people exactly like me - autistic.
