Life is Strange is a narrative-driven adventure game that stays with you long after the credits roll. You play as Max, a shy photography student who discovers she can rewind time. At first, it feels like a gift and a way to make things right. But as the story unfolds, you realise that some events are unchangeable, some losses unavoidable, and that even the best intentions can have consequences you never saw coming.
Pros:
- the butterfly effect theme - a fascinating central idea that makes every decision feel important, and you can’t stop thinking about what might have happened if you’d chosen differently - rich, believable characters - they are deeply relatable, like real teenagers with their own complicated lives - you can feel their emotions through the screen - marvelous visuals - the lighting feels like a constant golden hour, making the game feel nostalgic and a bit dreamy - unforgettable soundtrack - I ended up adding most of the son...

One of my favorite games of all time, truly a great story. However, the current state it is in feels like a developer test, and its just been shipped like this, I've spent 6 hours trying to fix audio glitches for discord streams, to finally fix it by just verifying integrity of game files, only to get softlocked 3 times in a row in episode 4 while exploring the barn, and it has just been a nuisance to deal with troubleshooting every other episode. Not everything needs a stupid remaster, and to top it all off? Double exposure is god awful.

Sadly, I bought the game and did not realise that its graphics require more performance than games like Cyberpunk. It is kind of crazy; I start the game and my GPU temperature is immediately at 70° Celsius. My pc crashed since it got too hot. Since this happened 2 hours and 30 minutes in, Steam does not want to refund the game since they only give you a refund for a playtime of max 2 hours. Now, when I try to start the game, I keep getting an error that the game was unable to connect to a server?? And the game menu is not shown to me anymore. I am only seeing now that there are other people with similar problems in the steam discussions. Instead of the remastered version, go to the store page an buy the first Life is Strange version. It looks just as good and all 5 episodes cost 20 Euros.

This is the perfect game. Every character feels real. You care for them, you laugh with them, you cry with them. The choices throughout really makes you feel that you are Max Caulfield. You dont care what you would do, only what Max would do. This game, among with all the other games in this franchise, has changed my life. And i hope it will have the same effect on all the others who play this game. This is a must play.

I played this game back in 2016, I think... and I really liked it then. Years later, I decided to play remaster and... it's still awesom. BUT! Remaster has one problem, an (EXTREMELY!!!) unpleasant problem. About problem: ''Episode 4: Dark room'', you get into a HELL (Barn) and there you'll encounter a BUG, that prevents you complet episode. You can find different ways to complete it on Internet (Steam Community), one method works for some, another method works for others, some complete it quickly, some SUFFER hours, but that's only problem I encountered, otherwise there were no problems. P.S. Oh yeah, I forgot... this bug is over two years old... Because YOU KNOW... games are so hard to develop, so it will most likely (absolutely) never be fixed.

I love Life Is Strange. I did many years ago when I played the original, and I do now that I've grown to better understand certain themes and dialogues and take different decisions. However, I would argue this “remastered” version is a downgrade in many ways, and it brings so little (if not nothing) in return. So ultimately, it isn't worth the money, and I would advise anyone to stick with the original game, whose art style is still amazing up to this date.
