I will recommend to play this game at the $15 dollar pricepoint solely because of the immersion. I wont put this on the game at all cause it may be my inability to work a keyboard in to play but it seems a bit rigid on the 2D aspect of things but aside from a few hiccups it does play pretty smooth as far as controls go. I was extremely hesistant and doubted the purchase going through the 2D portion as well but when you get into the 3D side of the game everything seems to click. The game gets that much more exciting (even after reviewing the trailer) and i cant hesitate when I say it gets that much more scary. It is a perma-death type game but i wouldnt let that stop you from checking it out. When the transition from 2D to 3D happened I wanted to know more of what was going on. https://youtu.be/p86FFC5HAQE

Brilliant game! Very engaging with a tense atmosphere.
After a couple of hours of trying and failing to make progress, I think the execution fails to live up to the idea. The 2D section felt quite like aimless wandering, and it was difficult to establish any sense of direction due to the similarity of every environment. The platforming mechanics were fairly rough on top of that. I got bored before I even reached one of the 3D bits, and I think the disclaimer about the game's difficulty is a bit of a cop-out to make the poor mechanics seem deliberate. It just wasn't fun.
This game is from 2020 and doesn't support inverted Y axises and key rebinding. People with disabilities cannot configure this game to a playable one. So sad; I really wanted to play the game as it looked really interesting. Uninstalled after eight minutes of gameplay and set the "hidden" flag.
I really, really want to like this game. The 2d portion shows a lot of potential, and the shift from perspective inside the game proper is well done and keeps you interested in whats going on. The game suffers from overly confusing sections during the 3d portion, I in particular had to speak with the dev twice due to getting stuck behind a plant and the game needing to have its collision changed, and another when a scripted event did not properly trigger to kill my character. Please dev, if you are reading this if you could post a text or video walkthrough or hint guide or some such it would make it much easier, and less likely for someone to get frustrated and quit because they couldnt figure out what to do. (also please give a toggle to the bloom in the game, it tends to be overly blinding, and I need to mute the volume since the character walking is so loud.)
