I like the game. It's a fusion of a card-based roguelite (such as Slay the Spire) and an autobattler, and I think it does both fairly well. $20 may be a little steep but if you can get it for $15 or less, I'd say go for it!

One of best auto battler rougelikes around.
This game is fun and kept me playing for ~10 hours. In that time I beat multiple corruption levels using custom heroes and decks, and rolled credits. While the game is fun, there is too much shit jammed in here and most of it ends up feeling half baked/bad. It also feels like play testing would be a nightmare with all these different systems, and that might be why there was very obviously very little done. Some strategies are cool on the surface, but don't actually do much to keep up with the scaling difficulty while select others are by far and large just the best things in the game. The custom hero and deck editor are easily the best things about this game. It really brings back memories of those old WC3 custom maps where you design a hero and fight other players. I felt like it was relatively easy to get to this point, but it was still 2 hours of playing to unlock custom heroes, and another few hours just to get enough currency to make the deck and hero I wanted. I personally wou...
I've played a ton of roguelikes, and Hadean Tactics genuinely surprised me. Imagine if Slay the Spire and Auto Chess had a baby, and that baby was raised in Hell — in the best possible way..... The mix of deckbuilding and auto-battler mechanics works way better than I expected. You build your deck, manage your units, and then watch them brawl in real-time as your spells and tactics come into play. It’s fast, punchy, and super satisfying when a combo goes off just right. Art style? Clean and thematic. UI? Smooth. Bugs? Barely any. And the runs? Addictive as hell (pun intended). You’ll always want to go “just one more.” If you're into strategy, deckbuilding, or just like watching demons punch each other while you tactically support them — this one's absolutely worth picking up. 10/10 would make another pact with the underworld.
