About This Game

Save the World...Single-handed!

The Kingdom's peaceful world has been shattered! The wizard, while mixing potions with his magical gloves has caused a huge explosion, turning him instantly to stone and dislodging the seven crystals that give the Kingdom its energy. Without the crystals, the castle and its world will fall apart and the wizard will be lost!

It's down to Glover, one of the magical gloves, to find the crystals, now disguised as rubber balls and return them safely to the castle. Guide Glover and the balls through seven magical worlds full of puzzles and hidden surprises. Watch out! The evil glove is lurking in the shadows, and he'll stop at nothing to foil Glover's attempts at restoring peace.

  • 30 levels to explore across six unique worlds
  • Innovative duo of Glover and ball
  • Clever themed puzzles that require the use of both glove and ball
  • Inspiring power-ups! Change the form of the glove and the property of the ball
  • Over 30 bizarre and funny characters, like nothing you have seen before

Finally the wait is almost over. The N64 Era Cult Classic Glover is coming soon! This version of Glover is a completely ported from the original source code (N64 version of the game), and improved for modern PCs. It features Wide Screen, compatibility with Windows 7 and 10. Compatibility with USB controller, as well as higher resolution display.

We have also included the PSone original version for FREE! And make sure you stop by the game file directories for some surprises. We are also working on hopefully including the original Windows version on the package.

NOTE:
We are aware of some bugs reported and we are working on patching them and update is coming soon. However at the request of a lot of original game fans and speedrunners, we are leaving the original N64 bugs unless they are game breaking (not encountered any so far)

Pros: Includes a N64 ROM for emulation, which is (unfortunately) still the best way to play. *Unlike the awful Piko Logo intro in the port, they just did away with the startup animation altogether. Literally the only point to buy this, is a legal way to obtain a ROM. The port (even though improvements have been made from the initial release) is inferior in all ways. -Missing texture filtering for 2D elements -The shading and lighting in the N64 version wasn't carried over, making the game look rather dull -SFX and music reverb missing -Running the game above 15fps causes issues -Why are the stitches missing from Cross-Stitch's face Just emulate the N64 version and tweak the graphics settings. It will look and feel a lot better than this port. There's no way to get around the 15fps unfortunately. Hoping a recompilation of the game gets done one day. It's a shame this didn't get the care it deserves, since the game has potential and is definitely charming. 😕

I know what I'm talking about, I mean look at me, I have a Glover profile picture. When this port released and for a few months, it was an absolute mess. Issues: 1. Almost all audio cut in half 2. Missing textures 3. Achievements weren't even named properly 4. Moves like Glover's fist slam didn't work as an AOE 5. Part of the intro cutscene audio plays when you collect all the garibs in a stage??? Yeah weird 6. Enemies texture stays even after they are killed 7. Checkpoints just did not work on the pause menu 8. Inputing cheats caused the buttons on the screen to glitch Maybe there's more but that's all I can think of at the top of my head. There is a way to increase the frame rate instead of being locked at 20 but doing so will cause major problems such as getting stuck on what seems like literal nothing, popping out of platforms that lead you to the exit of the stage (you are stuck if this happens), and moving too fast at times (even if it's kinda fun). To be fair, they did warn you,...

The game has some crashing issues, some glitches, and some other random things that haven't been fixed since release. That being said everything is extremely playable. I am using a PS5 controller to play, and have used the wireless n64 controller for the switch, both work with no issue. The game does not save between levels and will crash, deleting your progress, so be prepared or mitigate the issue by returning to the castle and saving between levels. The game is Glover. It's not perfect, nor is this release of the game. It's still worth it. If you want the true experience of your childhood, this will do it. If you're a purist looking for literally exactly the n64 game, this will not do it. If you're looking for a weird ball platformer, this will do it.

Happy there's an official way to play this on PC. Sad that it's not the definitive way to do it. If you didn't play the original but you're still into oldies and don't mind outdated gameplay you might like it. If you did play it on the N64 it will feel a bit off. Emulating (legally by dumping your own copy of the game OF COOOURSE..) and using a nice CRT filter is the absolute best way to revisit this game. Also where are the cheat codes?? I can't seem to be able to use them and don't know if they were changed, those were a HUGE part of the original experience. (for real, anyone who knows what's up with the cheat codes on this please let me know in a comment because nobody cares enough about this game and there's no info online, thanks.)
