A cool retro 2d platformer that has a comedy overtone. Well built and has controller support. Lots of pixel blood and gore. Reminiscent of doom with all the hidden secrets. Definitely a cool indie game.

the game is quite short, but also quite sweet! if you're looking for a retro-styled shooter in the style of the pre-3D Nukem games, then i'd whole-heartedly recommend this game. the *only* negative thing i'd have to say about the game is its price, since nine bucks seems a little bit steep for what you get. otherwise, it's a stupidly fun game, and i 100% endorse it!

Just started playing and my immediate reaction is....This is so worth the money! The developer put a lot of thought into making it entertaining through humor, atmosphere and gameflow. The intro is well put together and really funny. The background and action sounds are solid and some of his (player) in-game commentary is pretty funny. Level design is simplistic but gets the job done. I bought it on sale but feel a higher normal price could be justified. Give it a shot.

Was a blast to play this! In the time that I have played I really enjoyed myself. From collecting different skins (to a unique one on Halloween) to the different weapons and monster, level layout and the humour! The game measures in amount of blood spilled in litres. How f'ing cool!!! Recommended!

Full disclosure: I bought this game for myself but I went on to reach out to the developer Monster Finger Games, it can be found here: https://youtu.be/6AmsyHdiHRY Alien Scumbags is an interesting game that harkens back to the DOS-era of video games, when Duke Nukem, Captain Cosmic, Commander Keen and Halloween Harry reigned supreme in the side scrolling department (on PC that is). It channels these role models and gives it an interestin spin by going for shorter levels but still offering some exploration where you can unlock secrets and new characters. Two unlockable difficulty modes after you have beaten the game on normal highten the replay value as they mix things up, bring new enemy abilites into the fray and make it more difficult for you. And obviously, who doesn't want to their name on the leaderboard, right? The gameplay itself is more slow and falls somewhere between faster shooters such as Abuse or faster jump and runs such as Captain Cosmic and slower, more methodical ...

Alien Addiction! This game is so much fun. I particularly love all the references, not just for some of my old games, but an entire shopping list of movies and games. Half of the fun is spotting them all! This game is clearly made with passion, dedication and a huge dose of dedication. Right up there with my favourite indie games. I am glad that not all indie games are this good as AAA developers such as myself will be out of a job! heartily recommended for those with a sense of humour! - Jane Whittaker, gameplay developer Alien Vs Predator, Atari et al.

Alien Scumbags is a throwback to the glory days of 386-era platformers thoroughly doused with tributes to classic FPS and horror games. There is a variety of levels, weapons and enemies as well as numerous unlockable characters to play, each with a gameplay altering trait. Also of note, the game features a few inexplicably well-done audio drama sequences. When I bought the game there were some janky aspects, but the dev has been responsive and worked actively to fixed it.
