Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) 40th Anniversary Edition

All the comments saying that you have to download the game whilst its running are correct. You will not be able to play the game until multiple hours of downloads are completed (that count towards your playtime) preventing you from a refund. This should be changed, its scummy and promotes disgusting business practices. That being said, if you look past it's major flaw (the download system) it is the premier and most advanced flight simulator on the market. Everything except the download system is absolutely amazing. I would also recommend installing the MFS2020 map enhancement mod. It enables you to overlay google maps/different data rather than the default Bing map that is integrated into the game.

whats crazy is that the game takes 2 hours to download no matter what kind of internet you have just so you cant refund. these developers are so petty

The forced microsoft login screen loads indefinitely and wont let me sign into my account that is signed into both the xbox app and store. This blocks my ability to play the game completely so its just a $20 paper weight in my steam library now. I was really hoping to play this game so I am very disappointed.

The game files that are downloaded from Steam would fit on a floppy disk. But then it forces you to open and keep it running so you can download the massive game files through M$ that are over 100 GB. In the process, your 2 hour window for Steam refunds will elapse. Subtract about 10 hours from my real playtime for being forced to leave it up overnight. If you want this game you better commit to it before purchase, and as such I will not recommend it for this bullshit. It's pretty, though.

Really fun game, very accurate simulator. Would recommend buying a flight stick and throttle for the best experience.

Pretty ridiculous that you have to download the game with a launcher. Already went passed my refund time and only just got into the game. Edit: I did manage to refund, even at the 5 hour mark. I guess they got enough complaints. It wasn't really my cup of tea anyway.

Absolute garbage that will not install. Why would i troubleshoot something that suggest not having anything plugged into USB? Microsoft is too focused on the advertisements and asking for your permission to snoop your computer to fix simple code issues. As mentioned before. Microsoft attempts to SCAM you by having the download take 2.1 hours IN GAME time regardless of your internet connection. Steam should Ban them for these sort of tactics

as of writing this i have 38 hours in the game, yet i have never played it. that because it has a downloading after booting up which took me , well 38 hours. its around 140GB
