This is an awesome little colony sim. I absolutely love the aesthetic and isometric viewpoint. It's quite tough, so if you enjoy a challenge, this might be for you. At the time of this review, the game's first release has only been out for a few days. There's not hundreds of hours of content, but the content that is there is fairly polished, and the dev is super responsive. I'm really looking forward to the future of Sigma Draconis.

About This Game
Sigma Draconis is a colony simulation game which focuses on building and resource management. It is 100% peaceful - no enemies will attack you - but that doesn't mean it's easy, especially in the more challenging snow region with deadly cold at night and limited natural resources.
World
The game features procedurally generated maps with vegetation that grows and spreads over time, free roaming wildlife, and resources for your geologists to reveal.Resources
Primary resources in the game include organics, ore, stone, and coal. Vegetation and exposed rocks can provide what you need to begin with, but later your geologists will need to find buried resources that you can mine.Food
Nutrient mush can be easily manufactured but cam be detrimental to your colonists' happiness. Some native plants have edible fruit which can be harvested by a botanist, but for a sustainable food supply you will need to grow your own crops. There are currently five varieties to choose from.Power
There are various ways to generate electricity in the game, and successful power management is vital. The nights are long and can be very cold on this tidally locked world, and your colonists may die if fuel reserves are inadequate.Colonists
Each colonist has one of three skills, all of which will be essential to the success of your colony. Colonists also have individual perks which can effect them in different ways. Various factors such as workload and diet can affect the happiness and productivity of your colonists, so these must be carefully managed. Objective
In the current version of the game, the final objective is to build and launch a rocket.Screenshots
User Reviews
the game looks very nice,.. I am eager to start playing it once alot more work has been accomplished on it, esp the water dispenser will not build.. the game has terrible tutorial to help you learn the steps to take to make and fabricate the buildings you need.. also it would be nice if you can wake up more than one person to actually start accomplishing something b4 u are getting messages you are dehydrating and starving and then start dying lol, ill be checking ;back for updates, as once those issues are fixed I look forward to playing.
Although there is nothing particularly unique about this game it is definitely worth the meagre asking price. You have to perform the normal tasks of collecting goods to house your workers, power their dwellings and also ensure that they have sufficient food in stock to last the winter period. This can be quite challenging and I needed a few attempts to get the balance right, but it was worth the effort. The dev is putting out significant regular updates and I know from experience that he listens to what his audience has to say as he promptly dealt with an issue I discovered. All in all a good, well thought out game that will keep you occupied for quite a few hours.
It has a potential to be a good game but it should be in early access as quite some work is required. After a while the game freezes: horrible mouse lags. I cut out the music so there is actually no sound at all. I really hope the dev(s) are still working on it. Else don't buy it. I never could go passed the building of labs or the glass factory after many retries. Will update this review later
Very short right now, and you don't get more than your original 8 colonists, but is a cute and fun little game.
Reminds me a lot of the older maxis games.
This game uses personal pronouns to an excessive degree. Refunded.
i don't particularly like this game but is a nice one with all things consider
I really enjoyed this game. Yes it is still in development but there is great potential in it. I like the building and survival aspect of the game as they are the games I usually go for. I will be very excited to find out where this game goes in the future.
Good game
