This game is pretty darn fun. Controls do need a bit of tweaking, and the character's bio and ending screen goes way too fast. I'm giving this a big thumbs up, The graphics are nice and the sound reminds me of mortal kombat 1, 2, &3. I really hope it does well, that way we can get more dlc from the developer, but please tweak the controls, etc. This game may have a cult following. https://youtu.be/Lvz9QwFtVLg?si=Cm1be3Mx3zgW8Rs-

I know it's Early Access and all but good god is this thing a broken mess. The game has locked up, refused to start and even hard crashed in my short time trying to play. My computer runs everything I own perfectly and I even tried it on my laptop and steam deck and couldn't even get it to run on either. Shame too cuz the little amount I managed to play was actually pretty fun and reminded me of Ultimate MK3. Might check it out again in the near future but it's not recommended in its current state.

This game feels really good to play and is being actively updated, both of those things alone mean you should probably check this one out. Ran a long set with a friend last night and had a blast! Story mode is a little frightening though lol. 9/10 so far! For the fighting game devotees out there, this game is starting off with a really good system with the promise of being further developed and added to. Movement feels good, juggling is fun, and there's potential for some nasty damage. If you want alternate universe MK3 then grab this one. Figure why not update this - Just found an infinite with Spiral. She can cancel the 5th hit of her dial-a-combo (DAC) into other buttons, including her LP which recovers fast enough for me to begin the DAC again. Held back with P2 after beginning the combo and they in fact did not block, so it's a true infinite as far as I see it. Neat, but might wanna be adjusted lol.

Been having quite an experience with this game and I can't get over it. I have my ups and downs with this game, but on the whole, I've been having a lot of fun. The combo system feels real good. I can tell that you're fans of Fighting Games when you replicate the arcade games I grew up with. I felt at home with the rhythm of how the combos work. I was able to play with a friend and we had a really good time. The connection between us was perfect, but the lobbies were a bit finicky. While it's still in early access, I'm aware there's still a lot to be worked on in this aspect. I'm not a huge fan of the use of (what looks like) AI Assets in this game. I understand its a lot to develop everything while refining the game play, but I do hope there is a future where the AI assets are abandoned. I can't lie. The story is Hilarious. Kratos being updated to reflect his story line was a funny surprise! I really look forward to how this game develops! The stuff that works correctly i...

If it felt like it was made with an ounce of passion, I would all for it. Sadly, it feels like the AI-equivalent of a Unity asset store flip job. There are essentially only two finalized characters and everything is incredibly unattractive. It's fun, but not worth your time or money at this point.

***I wish Steam had a 'so-so' button for recommendations—sometimes it's not as simple as a thumbs up or down. With that being said, I'll give this game a 'recommend,' but it's more of a gentle nudge than a high-five. Consider this a cautious thumbs-up, especially if you're not a die-hard Mortal Kombat fan. You may proceed with mild enthusiasm.***
Eternal Fighters Chapter 1 Struggles to Land the Knockout Blow
Mortal Kombat stands as one of the best fighting games of the 20th century, a digital gladiatorial arena that left its bloody fingerprints all over the gaming industry. It's safe to say that more than half of the people whom I’ve spoken to owe a debt to this spine-ripping, heart-pounding genre. With that being said, I was pretty excited to try out Eternal Fighters: Chapter 1 by SkitRow Game Studios, a plucky underdog game developer trying to punch above its weight class in a world of advanced PC titles. While it may not be a flawless victory, it's still worth a rou...
