don't listen to what anyone else says, this game is the pinnacle of the battlefield series, a marvel for its time, battlefield 1 is still somewhat better though
Battlefield 4 is often talked about for its multiplayer, but its campaign deserves more credit—especially if you're coming in for a focused, single-player experience. I played exclusively through the campaign, and despite its relatively short length, I found it thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish. The gunplay is fluid and responsive, with clean weapon handling and intuitive controls for swapping between guns, loadouts, and explosives. Whether you're picking off targets with a sniper rifle or clearing rooms with an LMG, every weapon feels punchy and satisfying. Visually, the game still holds up well. While it may not hit modern AAA benchmarks anymore, the atmosphere of large-scale warzones, collapsed buildings, and high-intensity shootouts is delivered with impact. The level design balances spectacle with solid pacing, and there are just enough quieter moments to let the tension breathe before diving back into chaos. The campaign took me roughly 10 hours, but that includes som...
This game is surprisingly good for its age and feels snappy to play even in 2025, not much like it either. game is only like 68 gigs with all of the dlcs installed and you can get a lot of value out of that 68 gb. oh and did i also say it runs on just about any pc too?
Ignore the reviews about Punkbuster, it's easy to fix it kicking you. You just have to download two files from the evenbalance (guys who made Punkbuster) website and then run them. Punkbuster only kicks you because you lack the updated files if you don't do as I just said. Don't let that get in the way of this game because after only 14 hours I can say it is incredible.
Not worth it in 2025 and beyond. Anti cheat is broken and will kick you every game. If you can get past that then good luck actually playing the game, cause the only servers that are left are the community servers with salty little baby admins who will spam kill you for killing them (they were sitting in a helicopter the entire game and had 180 kills). Just not worth it, go pray that battlefield 6 is anywhere as good as this game used to be instead.
can't join a game, and when i'm in a game i get kicked by punkbuster.
Game currently being sold is incomplete avoid purchasing this game. Content form the campaign is unable to be obtained as of 2025. There is no warning of this, the game is being sold with the lie that it is fully working.
Can't play the game. Getting kicked for no reason by PnkBstrA
Played this for 10 years on console. Its the last good Battlefield release that is actually Battlefield.
