If you enjoy janky graphics poor menu usage and a constant death simulator without any explanation what so ever why you are dieing or how to build or equip items, then you might enjoy this game. I really tried to give this game a fair try after two hours of constant frustration I can not do it anymore. There are other posts in the forums detailing many of this games short comings and I suggest reading them and or watching some steamed game play ahead of time. I hope this review will help those trying to decide.

People are sure hard on solo developers. Granted it is not polished and yes I got eaten by a croc within the first 3 minutes, I will keep trying to learn the game and see what comes in time. Most negative comments come from people who have never tried to make a game and can only compare it to the big dollar, multi developer games out there. Stop complaining and spend more time trying. why do you need a tutorial for every game? learn by doing. If it keeps getting worked on, he might have a strong game. I cant say how much time he has into it, but I am sure his kids are proud. Now to see if I can figure out how to make a spear . . .

The game needs some work. starting off trying to even craft a spear i get swarmed by creatures withing a minute and they keep coming. the crafting table does not was to craft the tools for some reason even tho i put resources in them. making a tent seems to do nothing for you and when i do respawn my health drops to 0 within about 30 seconds. keep at it but for right now it feels a little unplayable. ill keep checking on it for future updates.

The game has many many things that need worked on. That fact cannot be ignored. However I believe we need to remember that this is a solo developer. I tried making a few games, so I know a taste of how hard it truly is. For anyone that is reading this and is considering leaving a negative review, or buying the game. Keep in mind. You will be comparing this game to others that have entire companies and teams of developers behind them. The fact that this developer has done what he has, is outstanding. That being said, yes, many things need improvement. The crafting, the enemy AI of being on you 1 minute in. It makes the game unbearably hard at the beginning to get started. However if you manage to, the game is remarkable. The feelings you get from the game are designed by someone who you can tell, knows how to make you feel what they want you to feel. As of right now its unplayable, the jump and attack keys do not work no matter what buttons they have been remapped to. which is bad enough as is but your attacked as soon as you spawn 90% of the time you start the game, And running doesnt work either because the enemy will chase you forever so you might as well give up as soon as your spotted. the graphics are also messed up regardless of what the settings are I have tried all of them but all the trees look blocky and blurry. I know the game just came out and with work it could be really good but with the devs lack of communication and constant silence on issues im not sure it will get there so with the way it is now I cant recommend it

OK I will change my Comments I was a bit harsh even though it does need a lot of work but I figured out somethings that is not in the key binds. So I equipped the spear by pressing Y and then if I click it twice I can use my pick ax, and use the pick ax to knock down trees to get logs and built a base. So since I figure out how to get some type of gameplay I wanted to change the review. But Make the waves less intense these guys are fast and do a lot of damage. Fix the menu key bind make a quick bar so I can know what I have in inventory. Give us more time to build up a base in between waves everytime I start building the creatures destroy my ish. And also when does the other crafting tools unlock? Can't wait forever the only things ive got so far is the stick spear and stone pickaxe. Continue to polish the graphics. The more I play the game it gets intense fun but its still needs work. And we need a jump button the player won't jump.

the most broken game that I have ever seen. - No tutorial or text telling you what to do, or how to do it. - UI broken. - pressing button "1" swings an invisible axe - nothing happens when pressing LMB - pressing "X" should open the crafting menu but nothing happens - Pressing "C" opens the building menu, you click something that you want to build and the blueprint appears. Once you use LMB to build the structrure the blueprint still there and you have to press.... "E" to make it disappear. - Get killed after 3 minutes starting the game by some creepy monster, that is not all. You can't defend yourself because you don't attack. LMB does nothing. - No UI showing when you look at an item that its pickable. - You press ESC to open the "pause" menu but you pressing ESC again does not close the pause menu. BTW. The game doesn't even pause when you press ESC. I got killed while I was changing some settings. - The game is not even BETA state, even that its says when you are in the game m...

Very bad game so far, the craft menu will not open, get overrun as soon as i start the game. NEEDS a lot of bug fixing and improvement.

after a few more hours this game has potential. still bugs to fix and still crashes once in a while but that's EA. great graphics and good immersion, easy crafting and looks like it will have more to come.

Not a well executed game. It looks good, but unless you are way familiar with it, the game just isn't truly playable. no tutorial, no basic instructions and even in easy mode you are attacked and killed within 10 minutes of starting the game. There is no learning curve at all. I will revisit it in 3 months or so, but right now it just isn't a fun play. I will check it again in a few months. Frustrating.
