Severed Steel is pure adrenaline — I love it for its fluid movement, tough challenge, cyberpunk aesthetic, and incredible style. The OST is easily one of the best I’ve ever heard — think Hotline Miami but with a deep cyberpunk vibe that hooks you and never lets go. Visuals and destruction are amazing, especially with ray tracing. If you love fast, hard shooters — this is definitely for you! My only complaint? There’s no sequel yet. Everything else is perfect.

User Reviews
I remember learning about this game thanks to Oyff. The premise is simple: You're playing Ultrakill with a Mega Man hand and can pickpocket guns to help maintain your Style Meter. If that doesn't sound like fun to you..? ... Well, at least it'd only make one of us!
I would like to like this game, but I just can't some elements of the movement are just awful. there's no way of canceling wallruns or sliding, aside from jumping. which would be ok if the *game allowed me to disable auto wall running* so I'm stuck in a wall run and I have to jump away from the wall to cancel the wall run *but in a tight corridor this just means jumping into the opposite wall, starting another wall run*. why can't I, as the player, decide if I want to wall run? Same deal with sliding. I wanna stop the slide, so I have to jump, forcing me into another wall run if I'm too close to the wall and then the game just takes me on a ride along the wall and I need to figure out where I'm going. this isn't fun, it's frustrating. ghostrunner is a similar game but feels much better. probably because the areas you're in aren't as cramped also: sometimes the mouse buttons aren't registered, so I'm getting shot, because my gun doesn't want to shoot. no idea if that's a bug in th...
I have confession to make. I'm really not good at FPS. Actually, I'm pretty terrible. I can't even call myself a "casual" FPS fan because my skill level is worse than that. I can't aim. I don't even like FPS that much. I almost never play FPS on anything other than easy. And if it has first person parkour, it's near impossible for me to have fun. This is still true with Severed Steel. But I'm so thankful that the dev thought of people like me and basically added god mode as the easiest difficulty, allow me to actually play the game with infinite bullet time which made me able to actually aim and parkour.
Got it for free on a certain store platform, then i bought again on steam to get soundtrack, the workshop level and also to support the dev...i'm not good at reviewing things, but i'll say this, the gameplay is awesome, i love the freedom of movement in this game and parkour movement is smooth..the gunplay and weapon animation is simple, theres not much animation feedback (modern fps weapons jiggling and all that) or recoil feedback, nothing fancy but get the jobs done.. The soundtrack is also a bangers, some of the tracks reminds me of ghost in the shell standalone soundtrack composed by yoko kanno, them cyberpunk is strong with this one..one of my reason to get the deluxe edition on steam.. that's it..i recommend..
I like the art style and the game really gets you into the groove of things quickly and the moveset you have plus arm cannon all come together really well against enemies who are very good at gunning you down if youre not careful. Overall the objectives fell good to complete and while the story.. uh exists thats not why youre here of course. Some level designs early on arent great but with how fast youre moving you just gotta be conscience of any drops. The levels are quick and simple so you never really worry about dying. Price tag is pretty high tho for the short experience and idk why this game absolutely shreds the steam decks battery but all the same i had a great time

Ghost in the Shell sandbox that feels incredibly satisfying
Awesome beyond awesome.
Feels like what games were initially made for, perfectly simple and pure fun to kick back with.
