Another survival crafting game that forgot to include any content. Early access doesn't mean that you throw your alpha game up on steam for $20. (It is now $3, which is still pricey for how empty this game is.) The gameplay is dreary with barely any interactions to be had. I know it's your first game (which, btw, does not excuse poor gameplay) but Steam, for $20, is not the way to go. https://youtu.be/NFD6YYO9X6E

This game should be called "My Name Is Cobbled Asset Waste Casserole (C.A.W.K.)" It is nothing but a perfect example of what I call a A.R.S.M. (Asset Reliant Sloppy Mess) because it's not an asset flip. It's just a mess of purchased Assets with no cohesion, no functionality what-so-ever, and bugs galore. This is seen well in my first impressions video where this game made my list of truly amazing Steam games I call M.I.S.S. games: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYmHpSqOvYk My score is a 3% out of 100, only because the developer made a decent intro trailer. Everything else sucks. Usually I try and give constructive feedback on this indie games, but there's really nothing here to praise.. How hard is it to buy a bunch of assets on the marketplace and mash them together into a big mess and extract it to sell on Steam? $20 is ridiculous as this game isn't even worth 49 cents in its current state.
The graphics are realistic. I realize that the game is in early access and there will be issues and bugs with it, however, after the first 5 minutes playing the game, it crashed and threw me out. The second time I went into the game, I only could gather bushes at first, then was able to make a pickaxe before being attacked by a beastman and died. I respawned without anything I had collected. I tried to play the game again, got as far as creating a pickaxe, an axe, chopped some trees and was able to get a few apples from that, hit rock, made a crafting table and then got attacked by a bear and a beastman and died. Once again, I tried, hit trees, rocks, created pickaxe, axe, baseball bat, crafting table, a couple of chests, got a few apples and this time nothing attacked me but because I couldn't get enough water from eating a few apples, I died. I would like to have the ability to collect more things from the ground like herbs and berries because I can't get enough nourishment from a fe...
This is game has clearly been abandoned. The last update was more than a year ago (as of May 2021) and there is no content.
Oh dear god, I`m sorry but this game is down right terrible! https://youtu.be/U5CKXiPkOFU Graphically it is ok, but the gameplay, mechanics and the world are just a mess. Also the lead character just seems so out of place, it makes no sense that your in a "survival" situation yet dressed up in a very inappropriate costume from the start. It`s fine to look at for curiosity at the cheap price, don`t expect to get much gameplay out of it though.
Horrible optimisation, the graphics settings would not work for me and the motion blur made it so awful that i got motion sick withing a few minutes... Lucky really because without food or water that's how long "Sarah" stays alive for. The AI isn't to bad, except the fact a wolf chased me and then dies of self mangulation... Developers have abandoned this game by the looks. Definitely and i mean DEFINITELY do NOT pay the full price for this game. So far it is an empty husk of a game that could be something good.
If you are lucky and can buy the game for under 5$ then i would say buy it, it is early access and real buggy even for an early. i mean you should at least be able to play a little more :) but it is ok there is tricks - if you plan on making a camp do it where you start there is a little pond you can drink of and well you will die every 5 min due to lack of food xD
Steam is wrong . I played for 10 seconds after buying game. Then it froze up and has never worked since. I have an older computer that has had difficulty with the unity engine even with other games. The ESC key does not work so I can turn down graphics resolution. Game freezes up on the first screen. Bottom line on some computers this game my not work. I've played Empyrion for 1700 hours it works.
I hate to give games a bad review, but: My Name is Sarah is a Survival Game and if the hitboxes of the ores and trees are so messed up, that you can't actually gather anything, it doen't make any sense. Here are some of the problems: (german commentary) https://youtu.be/OSVfL4tC1pU On the upside: - the price is low (2,39 € atm) - there is potential - they are working on patches (2 already went live) - graphics are allright On the downside: - gamebreaking bugs - very few options to chose from (graphics and sound menu) - lack of multiplayer (everyone knows, survival games are best when you can blame another person for your faults) - its rather dark all the time - lack of music If they are working on fixing all their problems, i am willing and would be very happe to change my review.
This game gave me aids. https://youtu.be/b813HTIr-HU
