Stramedia: Injury Plateau remains in active development! It means that everything you see here is subject to inevitable change, and this also means that the store page for this game will be updated periodically to reflect applied changes.
PROJECT STATUS (FEB 2025): Migrating the game to a different game engine.
PROJECT STATUS (APRIL 2025): Yup! Still doing it, and I actually may have found a match made in heaven this time, currently working on the technical shenanigans, though.
About the Game
Stramedia: Injury Plateau - formerly known as...
Nathan Philips is a simple kid living a simple life of an elementary school student - or, rather, a class president - living with his mum at home.
While they were having dinner before bedtime, Nathan receives a letter from Stramedia Safety Enbranchment GOE of People's Republic of Pixashia, inviting him and his whole class to a tour around the titular safehouse facility, Stramedia, that is located far away from home: literally out of town.
Genuinely not expecting for the acception letter to go through, he does not realize what domino chain of life-changing events outside of his home and school he signed himself and everyone else up for. You may probably tell what is going to happen next.
Stramedia: Injury Plateau is an indie horror themed adventure game where you step into the shoes of Nathan Philips, the class president and warden who accepted an invitation offer to what soon transformed to be the most bizarre and the most deadly school trip tour in his and his classmates' lives due to a, uh... a teeny-tiny little containment incident.
And now, it is believed that everybody is dead.
...Or, so Nathan believes.
Well, now, he has no other choice, but do whatever it takes to safely get out of the safehouse facility - the ironic certain death trap - while also retaining what remains of his mental health. ...or get to the thick of it. Who knows! Nathan and, potentially, the other fellas you might get to play as don't really get to decide what they do, because YOU are the one who gets to decide how the game ends!
Though, with the situation worsening every hour as the entire facility is being overrun with 'monsters' on the loose, their time for a swift, easy escape is limited.
The main protagonist is wearing a fedora hat! Perhaps the best selling point to any game, right? ...Uh, it's not? Well, okay, maybe it's not a hat that manipulates time or something, but if it helps: there are other recruitable characters with their own ups and downs you get to play as!
Your choices do matter around here! What we mean is that you can definitely clear out any area in any non-linear order, although the longer you put locations aside for later - the challenges awaiting there ahead become even more difficult when you visit them.
Secrets, too. Can't forget about those obligatory, juicy secrets~.
Simplistic Visual Pixel Art Style - for those who love looking at pixels with different contrasts - that is surgically fused together with modern 3D technology, and fortunately enough for you - this game isn't built using Unreal Technology which would have made your PC scream in absolute anguish - meaning that you can always tone down the graphics, nice and simple.
Neat, simplistic audio design and soundtrack!
No, seriously, that kid has my hat and I still can't get it back.
Despite it's horror nature, it's also a comedy game! What kind of comedy? This game has got most of it! Whenever it's all bad puns, visual humor, random, dark, dry or somehow outright gross and ("mildly") offensive humor, Stramedia has it in the stock and shelves!
Prepare for some surrealism, because no matter if it's an optical thing or not, things are...weird, yet somewhat disturbing, but not personal space like disturbing, because this is where it draws the line even for us.
A nice variety of accessibility options that put "accessible" in "accessible horror"!...without resorting to lazy merch spawners, YouTube content farm foundings and other malicious corporate practices! Whenever you have a problem with something, this game's accessibility (and other) settings options may enhance the experience more nicely - nice enough to fit your personal preferences!
...Is no one really gonna help me get my hat back?! My noggin is freezing without it. It's like the North Pole up in here.
- Story Campaign Your goal is simple! Get your ass out of Stramedia back to safety! Solve puzzles, unearth the nasty secrets of the government-owned facility, find keys to reactivate the facility sectors containing all components required for you to escape, put your minimal stealth skills and patience to test as you avoid being hunted down by whatever lurks within Stramedia... or, y'know, just gun them all down, if you have the right firearm. Just because you're not American, it doesn't mean you can't at least give it a shot. (...pun is unintentional)
- Time Attack What? You thought what you had presented at first hand in the story campaign was legit worth a speedrun? I am sorry, you can absolutely do it again, but at max speed!
- Labor Survivor Having been employed by Stramedia Safety Enbranchment GOE, you need to get through your first month at work alive while performing your usual mundane tasks, like cleaning the hallways, making sure the power is still running, feeding the... uh... wait, what even IS THAT thing, anyway??
Additional Notes: Recommended to run the game on a 64-bit system; works OKAY with OpenGL, but it's preferred that your system supports Vulkan for the best visual results.
