GTA IV holds a special place among open-world games. Its story is deep, the characters are compelling, and Liberty City’s atmosphere is amazing. I definitely recommend buying and playing it! I started this year on my Steam Deck, and it runs really well with no FPS issues. I just finished the story for the first time in 2025, and even though the game is quite old, it’s still incredible.

Hey Rockstar, got a question for ya: What does it feel like to be certifiable Dirtbags? Honestly? Because I find it to be absolutely weird that a paying customer is constantly finding themselves being inconvenienced by having to sign/ping-in monthly just to be able to play the games they paid for. I'm not constantly online. (absolutely bewildering, I'm sure) Perhaps people like playing offline, a.k.a., single-player? Wild! It's mind numbing that Rockstar Social Network is being forcefully shoveled down players' throats for "services" they more than likely have ZERO interest in. Leaderboards? Who gives a rat's ass?? I just want to play the game, and I'm 100% certain others feel the same way. I cannot be disproved. My judgement is concise and absolute - this assessment comes from life experience. Not from some 60 minute mouth breather session about who read their emails, and who had a "eureka" from their "think tank". You creatures are fundamentally bizarre. I sit here and think...
This is the best GTA story in the series and I still prefer the NPC physics over GTA V's.
I cant save the game , it shows "SAVE FAILED" everytime i try to save it. I was forced to refund a great game.
This isn’t just a game—it’s a cultural landmark wrapped in digital concrete and rain-soaked neon. Grand Theft Auto IV didn’t just give us Liberty City, it gave us a living, breathing organism that felt more alive than half the cities on Earth. Booting this up is like stepping into a gritty crime drama HBO wishes it had the guts to make. Niko Bellic isn’t just a protagonist—he’s a legend. A war-torn immigrant chasing the American Dream, dragged into the mud of betrayal, loyalty, and “just one more job, cousin.” Every mission drips with cinematic weight, every choice feels heavy, and the writing? Peak Rockstar. It’s not just satire; it’s a full-blown Shakespearean tragedy with car chases and exploding helicopters. The atmosphere is untouchable. Rain slicked streets glistening under yellow streetlights, radio stations that feel like real pop culture archives, and that melancholic vibe of a city that chews people up and spits them out. No other GTA has matched the m...
Broken support. I once used to game share this game with a old friend of mine. When this was in sale I decided to buy it. When trying to launch it opened the 3rd party launcher from r*. But it asked me to login with the account of my old friend (who I ofcourse don't speak anymore). I tried submitting support tickets, but all gave me the same stupid instructions. "Can you login and provide us the ticket number you received?" "When was the link made from steam to the rockstar account?" Nothing I could do to convince them, even when I showed that I just bought the game. If you are expecting these errors stay away from this shit company. Because I can't buy any playable games from them anymore.
Game is unoptimized for PC. I have a 4050 but it still lags and stutters.
fuck rockstar and that dumbass company, stupid launcher and game breaking bugs still not fixed in 2025. Hope rockstar ceo burn in hell.
I bought the game on Steam and downloaded the game like any other except when you go to start up this game, it requires you to download Rockstar Launcher. Ok, no big deal. Downloaded and ready to start. You need to login to the rockstar launcher except it is using a email address that does not exist and asks you for the verification code of that account? I bought the game, let me just play my bloody game. What the hell are you extracting from me for 45 minutes? I have been trying to work around it and get it to work and it wont. Not bothered to do this ultra high level security for a game. Its like they are holding top confidential information and im trying to hack in to the U.N. database. LET ME PLAY MY GTA 4 you bastards.
