Spirit of the North is one of the most beautiful and relaxing games I’ve ever played. You guide a fox through breathtaking Nordic-inspired landscapes, accompanied by a mysterious spirit fox, and the whole experience feels like stepping into a living painting. The world design is simply stunning — from snow-covered valleys to glowing cave systems, every area is filled with detail and atmosphere. What I love most is that the game tells its story without a single word. Everything is conveyed through visuals, music, and exploration, which makes the journey feel more personal and immersive. The soundtrack is gorgeous, perfectly matching the calm yet emotional tone of the adventure. The puzzles are engaging without being too difficult, and the pace encourages you to slow down, explore, and soak in the beauty around you. It’s the perfect game to unwind with after a stressful day — no rush, no pressure, just pure, serene exploration. If you’re looking for an atmospheric, heartfelt...

very cute!! if u have eye sensitivity though and are VERY intent on getting 100% achievements keep in mind chapter 7 is a little painful on the eyes and a very annoying process
Just finished Spirit of the North, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for something peaceful and visually stunning. You play as a fox exploring a mysterious, atmospheric world inspired by Icelandic landscapes and folklore. There’s no dialogue or UI—just music, puzzles, and exploration. It’s not fast-paced or flashy, but that’s the charm. It’s cosy, meditative, and surprisingly emotional in parts. Perfect for when you want to unplug and wander through a world that feels like a dream. ✅ Visually gorgeous ✅ Lovely soundtrack ✅ Relaxing and wholesome ✅ A short but satisfying experience (~5–6 hrs for the story, a bit more to 100%)
A nice looking game to relax with for a few evenings. My main concern is that the controls make it difficult to relax. Our fox have a hitbox of a truck and drives like a tank. As long as you are just happily running it's fine but when you need to do any platformer sections that's when issues occur. For example Spirit Dash teleports you where Fox is looking not where you have your camera aimed at. Some sections are just tedious or plain boring. I know it's an exploration game but the locations sometimes looks so similar that I often lost track where I should go. Sprinkle it with some repetetive animations like blue flowers blooming or Fox shaking off each time you came out of the water. Performance wise it's mediocre at best. Lowest settings on Steam Deck gives you 60 FPS with occasional drops. Had a few bugs like Fox being stuck in the terrain geometry, under water. At the end of chapter three game just froze when I entered scripted ending. Kudos for authors tho that you can easily pl...
Spirit of the North was just okay. There wasn't much of a storyline so you essentially just run around searching for stuff. Also the fox is so annoying to control it has a hitbox twice the size of its body which makes climbing really annoying. It's a pretty game and it had a lot of potential, it just fell short in the story aspect which made it not very enjoyable.
Very cute game! I got all of the achievements in about 7 hours but very doable in about 4-5 hours or less! Highly recommend for a cute puzzle game!

I had originally discovered this game by my switch. It had been a few years, and I hadn't played, so I decided to purchase here on steam. There is no narration, but that made me want to pay more attention to details to learn about the story. The scenery is beautiful and there was many moments that created different emotions. The story line came together beautifully. Though I struggled with some of the puzzles, it made me put my mind to work to figure out how to get to the next step. This game may not be for everyone, but I absolutely enjoyed it and had a great time.
Spirit of the North: A Meditative Odyssey Through Ice, Myth, and Ethereal Beauty
I'd really appreciate your support—a like goes a long way in inspiring me to keep writing these reviews for you! In a world where the wind carries the whispers of forgotten gods and the snow blankets the ruins of a lost civilization, Spirit of the North unfolds like a dream—soft, haunting, and achingly beautiful. This is not merely a game; it is a pilgrimage into the soul of the Arctic wilds, a poetic journey where every step is a verse, every vista a stanza in an ancient saga. Developed by Infuse Studio, this indie gem transcends traditional gaming conventions, offering instead an experience that lingers in the heart long after the screen fades to black. The Story: A Fox, a Ghost, and the Weight of Eternity You are a lone red fox, a flicker of life in an endless expanse of ice and stone. The world around you is silent, save for the crunch of snow beneath your paws and the dista...
