Undoubtedly one of the best modern video game remaster out there. Remember when you binge played the original C&C games in your childhood? I did. This is what remasters should be like. 100% fan service, all the expansions, all missions from the console versions, fully remastered soundtrack, hot swapping textures new/old, modern RTS control schemes, and devs who really love what they do.

It is C&C1 and Red Alert 1 and the remaster works fine. So that's okay, But to be honest, the games have not aged well and the remaster have some oddities. The cutsceness are not serviceable at full screen size at todays resolutions, even 1080p is a huge issue Which is sorta fair enough, 480p was normal back then and even updating them has its limits. But then they should have made a smaller sized popup for example 640p to play the cutscenes in as they look terrible at fullscreen. Also perplexing is why they did not add an attack move when they decided to offer a "modern" control scheme (there is a classic one too). Very much a buy on sale if you played these when younger and want to see them again. Everyone else should probably avoid this as these games would be a 4/10 today.
Seriously awesome and seriously nostalgic. One of the best RTS classics of all time and still VERY FUN.
Old but Gold
An extremely faithful remaster of the much loved first C&C games. Full of behind the scenes additional content, an in-game jukebox to play all the music and modern quality of life improvements to the UI (like right clicking, queuing units). There is only one criticism I would level at it, that would be that the FMVs while AI upscaled, just don't match the high resolution quality of the rest of the product. I understand that the original footage was lost and this was their only solution, but it's not quite there. The rest of it is top quality.
Great game, with a surprising amount of depth considering it's age and simplicity. I'd say the best way to explain this game is to compare it directly against StarCraft, which was released as a direct competitor to this game. in Starcraft, you build worker units which build structures, and are expected to build bases at mineral sites to extract the precious, finite resources. You fight other players for control of these sites, in order to further fuel your war machine. If your Command center / hive / Nexus is destroyed, resources cannot be collected, and more workers cannot be trained. Thus, eliminating this structure will entirely cripple your opponent, effectively winning you the game. In C&C, there are no worker units. Structures are built and placed in the world by you, the player, and slowly spread outwards from your Construction Yard. Resources are gathered by harvester units, and deposited at a refinery. Resources are spread out across the map, in large mineral fields that ar...
Great remaster. If you liked C&C as a child, you will also love the remaster. It is just as I remember with some improvements, where they make sense (like controls and of course the visuals). But the core is still the same (evenn including incredibly stupid harvesters :-D) I love it.
Loved the update graphics. I'd buy the rest of the series if they were remastered.
Solid, very much enjoy this very happy with the general performance of this application, game is fun, can focus on intended purpose without anything that detracts from engagement with the game. True nostalgia aging like fine wine; next gen, could empower the map editor a little more, more features and better usage of map editor
This game will piss you off but it feels real good when you beat the campaign.
