Divine Legacy

A game not without its problems, but put together in a very good way by a developer that cares about their end product. Yes, it's an ARPG made with RPG Maker, and those are notoriously bad (this one suffers from many of those same pitfalls). BUT this one does a lot to try and alleviate those issues. Also, it doesn't focus on gear, but items, which helps to put the focus on the gameplay and story. The story is decently written, and has enough to keep most intrigued and going back for more. The maps are VERY well crafted. I will warn: if you don't have enough healing items, enemies early in the game can destroy you and you can possibly softlock yourself (because you can't backtrack to a town). The only option is to lower the difficulty until you're able to win (but even Easy can be difficult at times) All in all, I don't know that I'd say it's worth it at full price(13.49 CAD for me), but at 7-10 bucks CAD it's certainly worth a look.

It's a funny game. -------Edit after beating the game-------- I love the story and dialogues in the game. Not gonna lie the game has an attractive cast. For the bad things, There are many minor issues throughout the game, but it doesnt seriously affect the gameplay experience. Overall I recommend playing this game.
