About This Game
You and your adventurous buddies are experimenting with some magical trinkets after your last quest when you hear moaning in the forest. You turn and see a hideous bug-eyed zombie wielding a copper frying pan and charging right at you. Instinctively, you throw a nearby rock at the undead creature — and down he goes!
“Hey, that was kinda FUN. What happens if I combine a rock and sticky snail snot?“
This first-person wave defense game is built for maximum fun for one, or groups of two, three, or four. Knockback is filled with magical weapons that enable you to eliminate zombies in your own personal ways. Work with your buddies and have fun defending against hordes of zombies, keep from being overwhelmed, last out all the rounds, and kill the boss for the win. And it’s all about how you do it!
Knockback is a physics sandbox that challenges you to ask yourself “how many ways can I destroy the zombies?” Go ahead play with fire! Throw ’em into a building or smash ’em with a log rolling down a hill. Wanna suck the zombies into a tight ball and zap ‘em with lightning? You can do that. Rain down sticky stones of fire onto their heads? Gotcha covered. Hit ‘em with a giant rolling stone that bowls down the baddies? Go for it!
Now get out there and stick a snail snot rock to an unsuspecting zombie chin!

very nice game!!! the mechanics to create new spells is just awesome!!! Cons are the missing tutorial :) and the wiggly movement, but the Pros are very huge! Tutorial: you can forge new spells at the anvil in the city and you need to upgrade skills. Thats all, maybe it was to hard for me without explanation :) Search some friends and go for it! (solo is less fun but you cant miss it, to create spells, like in this game, ciao magicka here i am Knocking* you away. Are you Awake* now :) I cant say it enouth, creating spells is better than Two Wolds I and II and Magicka together!
Knockback promises to do what is rarely and/or incompletely done in games. In this case, that rare treasure is to create a natural feeling, physics-driven world that drives wholly unnatural, ludicrous, and hilarious outcomes. Yes, this is self-admittedly an early access game, but the developer clearly has a sense of humor and a love for their work. Typically I'm tempted to wait for a Steam product that piques my interest to drop below $10 before I purchase it. In this case, the developer is clearly still actively invested in enhancing their labor or love, and I purchased this game at the $5 mark expecting that in time the price will actually go UP. I'm looking forward to seeing how the game continues to develop. It already has a unique personality to it, bolstered by its pleasant graphics, energetic music, and uniquely comical sound effects. If you think you'd enjoy a physics-based sandbox of a game (I mean, come on, you can literally go bowling for zombies or bring down the house) i...
Knockback is a fun multiplayer shooter game that allows you to choose between five different classes each with their own specific roles and talents, although the perhaps the best part about this game is the countless customizable weapons components you gain from leveling up, with theses components, you can create a huge range of strange weapons that make it so your personality is a large factor in your play stile.
This is a fun game that is receiving lots of active development. The game runs smoothly and doesn't require a beast of a system to get a good framerate. I really enjoy the weapons forge and the physics of the game. I look forward to future development and I think this game has a ton of potential! Definitely recommended.
This game is awesome! I have never played video games before, but caught on to this one. Usually, in the past, I have enjoyed watching my children and grandchildren play the games. It is fascinating listening to them talk about the play. I love listening to the weird noises generated by this game, as well as the strange creatures flying around, running around and blowing up! It doesn't hurt that my son is the developer and I detect his voice in some of the screams and groans. Love it that this game is fun while not being totally gruesome and violent. I love the graphics and the surprises that the kids uncover with play. All in all, this game makes me smile and makes me want to join in with the grandkids.
My son and I played this today, and we had a blast! I love the comics style graphics and corresponding sounds--especially the "ow." The music was spot on setting the scene. I found myself wanting to continue to additional waves. The quality of the game will keep this one in my regular rotation!
Tons of fun! My 9 yr son enjoys this game as much as I do! Multiplayer takes it to a whole new level!
So much fun to play!! I could literally play this for hours. Love the different classes and clever weapons to choose from. Fun times all around!
This game is absolutely amazing and it brings me infinite amounts of joy every time I play it!
